Love it! Works great for plugging things into my Mac easier. The color matches perfectly which was I big concern of mine. It has 3 old style usb ports, one usbc port, and two different size sd card readers. My Mac fits perfectly into the stand and it looks like the same type of metal used on the Mac so it almost looks like it’s all one piece. Connected super easily to my Mac, and I’ve had no issues with compatibility or power supply. I held off from buying it because it was a bit expensive, but is totally worth the money. It uses one cord that plugs into the back of the Mac so you can’t even see it once it’s set up. Overall this thing is great quality and looks great, 10/10 would recommend.

This was tedious to set up for me but I am 80 years old it really should be simple to setup and put in place because it is a clever design It does the job for which you would expect by buying it I think you likely need this or something similar.

Best iMac accessory there is. This is so unobtrusive, but so useful. You hardly know that it is there, but all of the additional ports is a lifesaver. No more dongles hanging from the back. This really cleans my space and makes using peripherals a lot easier. Perfectly fits to the 24 inch iMac base

Main virtue of this device is that it looks nice. The USB ports seem to work. The SSD M.2 NvME slot works OK, though not terribly fast on USB 3.2. SD cards must be inserted (at least on my copy) with pins facing UP, which is a bit odd.

This is a follow up review to the one I wrote on July 19th and gave the product one star because it did not function with my iMac, and which I returned to Amazon on July 20th the next day. After this, I did hear from Pulwtop support who apologized for their late response and offered to send a replacement to me, which was then shipped to me by Amazon. This unit worked fine when I tested it with flash drives and SD drives. It does not provide enough power to run my Apple SuperDrive CD/DVD player, which requires direct plug in to my iMac which is not a problem for me. One thing that I was not aware of before is that just to the left of the TF/SD slots is a blue power LED. This is shown on the box, but not defined as such. To summarize, this product is well made and fits perfectly with my iMac and I like that it raises my computer up and provides a solid footing, and helps keep my desktop less cluttered. The customer support has been excellent.

I needed easier access to my USB ports & I also needed a solution for SSD storage. I’ve wanted this for a long time and finally made the purchase. 1. The color match is impeccable. 2. I purchased a 2TB SSD to go with this. SSD install was a tiny bit confusing due to conflicting tutorials/how-to info on this item but for anyone who needs to know, the silicone strip sticks to the outer side of the SSD and to the screw-on plate. The instructions were confusing because they have tutorial videos that show the silicone strip on the inner/flat side of the SSD as well as other tutorials showing it on the outer side of the SSD card but it should be on the outer side. Also, i needed pliers to slide the securing nut into the little gap, then remove the screw, line up your SSD and screw it back together. It’s incredibly tiny tho so sliding it into place with pliers may be helpful! 3. If you’re wanting this to add flash storage, it’s so worth it. The speeds are much better than my previous HDD, and has made a huge difference in my efficiency as a video editor. It handles my large photo library with practically no lag as well. This is truly a beautiful, quality product and if you’re looking for a minimalistic way to add a hub to your iMac, i would absolutely recommend. I’m so happy with this purchase!

USB C ports don’t have stable connections

Such a clever idea and it functioned like a dream. Use integrated PCIe slot to expand the storage of my new iMac to 2TB with a dirt cheap Samsung 990 evo plus Ta-da no drama at all. Highly highly recommend this product if you want a cheap storage expansion and port compatibility

I think any iMac is incomplete without this. More ports yes but even my card goes in directly from my camera plus I’ve got a massive disk space upgrade for a fraction of the cost and trust me no one can tell the difference in transfer speed !

The SSD slot cleverly located in the hub’s base is a fantastic bonus — it lets me expand my iMac’s storage with an NVMe SSD without needing a separate external drive. This is a thoughtful addition that boosts both convenience and performance. Transfer speeds are impressive, and I can connect multiple devices without any slowdowns. The card readers are especially handy for quickly moving photos and videos from my camera. The build quality feels solid and premium, matching Apple’s standards. Everything clicks into place smoothly, and it’s completely plug-and-play with no need for extra drivers or power. However, one minor issue I’ve noticed is that occasionally, there seems to be a slight electrical/static charge buildup, particularly when plugging in metal-cased connectors. If these connectors touch the side of the hub’s casing, it can cause a tiny shock or spark. While this doesn’t seem to affect performance and hasn’t caused any damage, it’s something to be aware of, especially in drier environments where static buildup can be more common. Overall, the PULWTOP USB-C Hub for iMac 24-inch is a fantastic accessory that not only expands the iMac’s connectivity options but also provides valuable extra storage with the SSD slot. With the minor caveat about static, it’s still a highly recommended addition for anyone looking to enhance their iMac’s functionality while keeping the setup stylish and efficient
