Nikwax TECH WASH and TX DIRECT Twin Pack, Technical Cleaner and Wash-In Waterproofer for Waterproof Clothing, 2x 300ml

It's really effective at leaving any coat waterproof, I've put my coat under the tap after using it and it didn't absorb a drop, it's all ran off! It's great quality! Value for money is another thing, though cheaper than most, almost £4 a wash is a lot, so I'd only recommend using it on what you need to. The waterproof cleaner worked well before the waterproof coating goes on in the washing machine. The instructions are simple and it's easy to use but the size only lets you do 3 items, 6 of they are small. Just leaves a funny smell after so if that's a problem don't waterproof you coat!Overall very happy, use is simple, it's effective and a decent price, I recommend!

Great productDid the job to wash and then reproof 2 of my goretex jackets. All worked fine and now waterproof again

The two products, cleaner and proofer, had instructions on the side of each bottle.I was able to wash and re-proof two “breathable” rain coats.The cleaner used half of the contents to wash the two coats, 150ml out of the 300ml contents.The re-proofer used 200ml out of the 300ml contents for the two coats.Unfortunately this means that there is another cleaner leftover for washing the two coats again, but not enough re-proofer for the two coats.I was able to tumble dry the coats which helps to make the breathability better.One of the coats worked really well in the rain, with water “beading” on the surface.The other coat, which had been used more often didn’t work as well, rain didn’t “bead” on the surface.I will try tumble drying again, to see if that improves the waterproofing.Overall the products were easy to use, time will tell how they work.

Used to wash and waterproof my fjallraven Greenland jacket, no smells and repels waters with ease. It says you can put 2 items into the washing machine when using it but I only put one in. I also probably used a touch more than the dosage on the label says but the bottles hold enough for more than 2 washes.

I would rather buy these in a larger size but struggled to find them. You don't get many washes from this 300ml size bottleThe Tech WashThe wash is quick and easy to use, but I found it didn't give very good cleaning results on the jackets. The cuffs and hoods had light marks and a little mud, but these didn't come out after washing which is disappointing. The instructions say to wash on a synthetic cycle, presumably to protect the clothes but the cleaning results were not good enough. Next time I would preswash with my normal detergent on a gentle cycle before using Nikwax.TX DirectThe wash-in waterproofer is easy to use, although a bit messy afterwards as you have to use a slow spin setting. Which means the jackets are very wet and dripping when they come out of the washing machine. They need to be hung somewhere to drip dry overnight at least. The waterproofer works well. It replenished the jackets waterproof ability, like it was new.If I could give these separate ratings, I would rate the wash-in at two stars, simply because it didn't actually wash very well. I would rate the waterproofer at four stars as although it works well, this size bottle is not good value for money. I don't feel they are good value compared to the larger size Nikwax bottles.

Excellent product works well to both wash and waterproof outdoor clothing. It’s got more expensive lately and despite havingbought this product for a number of years I now realise that it has an expiry date so don’t let it sit too long if you buy a larger container or it will pass it use by date.
