We were having serious issues with birds getting into an open area on my porch. Absolutely everything we tried before would not keep them out. We put up this mesh, it worked perfectly! It was easily cut and bent to the area we needed and no matter how hard they try they are not getting in! Looking forward to a spring with no mess and noise from these pests! Highly recommend!!

This is made for use on solar panels, but I used it around my heat pump. I had a skunk who entered my crawl space by going under the pump and entering through the large hood attached to the side of the house. I fastened it to the shell with sheet metal screws and flat washers. It was a little hard to get it shaped around the sides, but, once installed, it now prevents any further infestation.

I bought a roll of Critter Guard similar to this product about 2 years ago and it came with metal fasteners (hooks) with plastic washers. It was an essential purchase to keep the birds from hanging out under our solar panels. Aside from causing damage, the birds were LOUD up there. It's so much better now.We are expanding our solar array, so I knew I'd need to buy more Critter Guard. This roll was less expensive than the brand I ordered two years ago, but I didn't realize that the fasteners were entirely plastic. The fasteners on the other brand were metal. The mesh itself is good quality pvc-coated stainless steel.I had a pet gerbil as a kid that would chew the plastic screws that kept his cage shut until the latch broke and he could escape. I feel like squirrels and other rodents could potentially do that with these plastic fasteners. I also don't know how well this plastic will hold up to the intense UV radiation of our summer sun. I guess time will tell how well this product holds up.

Good quality mesh for solar panel, fits my specific gap and is overall nice black finish, not so sure if the plastic clips will withstand California weather thou, will have to see

Not a flimsy plastic mesh, but a strong and stiff coated metal mesh. A unique solution for multiple uses, primarily to keep out critters or debris from the covered area. This mesh is not something that can be gnawed through or easily cut once installed. I was surprised and pleased with how many uses I found for this mesh. The roll is 100-feet long and 6-inches wide - plenty of material to work with.We all have vent pipes on our roofs for plumbing for sinks and toilets. Usually these pipes are 2” or 1 1/2” wide, and covered with lead that is bent into the pipe to prevent rain from getting under the roof shingles. Well, our friendly neighbour hood squirrels likes to eat the lead causing water leaks and even allowing small pests like tree frogs, mice and such to get into the plumbing clogging the waste water lines. About 18-inches of this mesh wraps around the lead shield, and is squeezed shut at the top, sealing the pipe openings and still letting air vent in and out for a clog free waste water pipe system. Saves from an expensive plumbing bill!The uses I found for this very versatile mesh included gutter cover (from leaves and debris), roof vent/soffit cover (stops the entry of birds, bats, mice, snakes etc), pool screen repair (used with a few dabs of black silicone), and pest barrier wherever this heavyweight rust proof metal mesh can be stretched across.The box included 80 unique mesh fasteners that is easy to substitute if more is needed. This is one of those products that I realized was needed once I started using it. Just like duct-tape, everyone should have some of this bendable waterproof wire mesh.

This set works great. It's the perfect size to keep virtually any varmint or other uninvited pest out. It's like chicken wire in how much space is between the openings. It's flexible, bendy but also more sturdy than it looks, maybe flexible is the best word. It's easy to put in and so far keeps its place. The flexibility helps get it right where you want it and makes it easy to work around existing fence and posts but it's not overly flimsy. It seems like it'll be able to take some weather and other elements pretty well. I'm not sure about anything longterm because I just got it in over the weekend trying to be proactive and just keep them all out before Spring this year. I like that I was able to bury it to where the top is flush with the ground in a few places. It's a good solution that's easy to use, seems like it'll work well and at a good price.

I know that this is marketed for solar system protection. However, I got it to protect my cabin from unwanted critters and I'm very pleased with it. This is seriously heavy duty 6 inch fencing. Its neatly rolled up and comes with handy fasteners. We have several spots in our mountain cabin that are just hard to close up, and we get critters in the crawl space and even occasionally in the duct work that can wreak a lot of havoc. As soon as the snow melts I'll be up there using this everywhere I can find a potential entrance point and sealing it up tight. Its going to make a huge difference for us, and I am sure it will work great to protect solar panels as well.
