Comma AIRCC 150ml Air Con Cleaner

Whole car feels 'squeeky' clean after you use this and air con definitely smells fresher too. Smell is very strong at first but soon dissipates if you open windows for a while. The instructions are slightly ambiguous but basically you push forward the passenger seat then bend it forwards as far as you can. Then put air-con on half way between hot and cold (with engine on) and set it to recirculate - you also want to set it so that its at top speed and coming out of all available vents at once. Then you place the can behind passenger seat and press the spray button down so it 'locks' and quickly close the door of the car (with you outside of car!). Now just watch it for 10 minutes during which it will continue to spray - after that open all the doors and windows and just let car air (you can switch engine and air con off at this point but I leave it on for a few minutes to get the chemicals out the system). The most surprising thing is how clean the rest of the inside of the car feels to the touch after using this. I hoover out, polish insides before use, but after using this cleaner too it basically feels sterile! Definitely a product for the clean freaks! You'd probably get even better result using this just after changing the cabin/pollen filter (preferably one containing activated carbon) - I find most garages dont do this when servicing even though its usually easy and cheap job to do!

That was exciting I’ve just this minute used the can in my Q5 because it stunk through A/C easy to use and definitely smells of lemon im just waiting for the car to air then I’ll give updates how affective it is. Word of warning if u buy a second hand car take a rubber glove and stroke the boot carpet if suv and it will give you indication if smelly dogs have been in the car because it will bring up dog hair stuck in the carpet,, wish I did Update after two weeks and smell has still gone

It's been a month since I clean the Air Con system, but I don't use my car that much and I needed some time to assess it properly. I followed all the instructions as indicated and was surprised when the can emptied itself in about 4/5 seconds. I left the door closed and the can running for another 60-90 seconds. I then left the Air Con system on for another 2-3 minutes. Given it's short output I wasn't expecting much and even thought it might be faulty. Initially the musty smell disappeared, but was simply replaced with a very obvious chemical smell, which wasn't much more pleasant. However after 2/3 of weeks (about 100 miles, 2.5 hours of use) this smell also disappeared and the air con is now good. I suppose the real test will be leaving it on for a long drive and continuous use of a few hours If the Air Con is still clean in a few months time, I'd upgrade the 4 stars to 5

The aircon in my partner's car has been smelling very bad - such that it couldn't be used - for a couple of years now. Instead of paying lots of £££ to a garage to have the system serviced, I thought I'd give this product a try. And it worked exactly as described. The only downside is that it leaves a strong smell or air freshener for a few hours, so make sure to air the car thoroughly afterwards. Very good product; will use it in my car next.

I had a very dank and damp smell coming out of my air vents, especially when the air-con was first engaged, not unlike mildew. It is a known problem of stagnant mositure gathering in the heating and cooling systen and gathering bacteria. One of these cans improved matters a lot but did not entirely cure the smell. A second can was really necessary and the problem is now 99% cured. It may be that the remaining occasional 1% is the result of moisture gathering again after the journey. I would think that a third can is probably too much right now but I can see it coming before too long. It works probably as well as more expensive makes and it is easy to use.

I used this to kill the smell coming from my air con, but it was useless. My car only smelled fresh for a day, then the bad smell was back. May as well not have bothered. I bought this one as it's supposed to kill off bacteria, fungi etc in the air con system, but it's done none of those things. Total waste of money.

I followed all the instructions to the letter and set it off in the footwell behind the passenger seat. It worked well - but it did rquire a FIRM push to latch the trigger down. Otherwise very good - cleared the damp smell from the air conditioning and left a pleasant scent for a couple of days that wasn’t overpowering .

An essential bit of kit if your car has Air Conditioning. Personally, I like to use these once a year to keep the system clean and fresh. Very easy to use :- Ensure all car windows are shut Push passenger seat fully back and stand can on floor in front of seat - preferably on a sheet of newspaper to soak up any residue Start engine Switch on Air Conditioning to FULL POWER in recirculation mode Make sure dashboard vents are wide open Press nozzle into lock position taking care not to have your face above the can ! Exit the car and shut the door Once the can has discharged (you can visibly see when it's finished) then allow the system to run for a further 5 minutes. Finally, remove the can and dispose of safely and wipe any residue of dash etc with a dry cloth. Car should be smelling nice and fresh. Job Done !
