Finally, a solution for lost power adapters
All of the replacement power adapters I've purchased in the past have not had the ability to see exactly how much current they are putting out. With this one, you have a digital readout and a rheostat that allows you to fine tune the power output. Also comes with a very complete adapter set and a polarity reversal connector for the occasional input that is wired in a reverse configuration.

Reliable Unit with Handy Connector Attachments
Bought this unit to power a water pump for a water feature. It works reliably and does a great job. The included connector attachments are very helpful, making setup straightforward and efficient.

Works like a power supply.
Good: - Fairly easy to use - Acceptable build quality - No abnormal heat or noise - Comes with adapters - Its adjustable Cons: - Not as reliable as non-adjustable power supplies - Voltage adjustment knob tends to move, maybe tape it down if need specific voltage consistently - Voltage display inaccurate, maybe have a multimeter on hand to verify Note: I’d say it’s alright for most people to use in place of a power supply if they lost theirs or just need a replacement. I suggest using a bit above the required voltage when using it as the voltage could fluctuate, though you could use more or less if you know what you’re doing.

Gives you critical control of your voltage
I bought a deck which was not working with its standard 5V power. Then I say this and purchased it. The dock, while rated a 5V only activated at 5.14V! This is the best digital variable power supply I've ever bought.

ac to dc adjustable voltage output 3 to 24vdc
this is a great little ac to dc power supply. includes 14 plugs and a - + jumper for reversing the output ,effectively means 28 different outputs. It has an of-on knob that adjusts the voltage out that is displayed on a digital meter.

Usefull and works well
This item works well and seems accurate when tested with multi meter. Great veratility being able to adjust voltage down to the 100th's. My one complaint is any bumping of the large knob will change voltage and it is easy to bump... not sure what the fix is, but is i could lock the voltage in place or cover the knob this would be a wonderful feature.

Update: Company Replaced Product. Failed with almost no use. Didn't work well when it did.
Original Review: So I had bought this product hoping to have a quick and easy simple PSU (Power Supply Unit) to do things like testing motors. Charging batteries. Testing LEDs and so forth. And especially using it to check if any of the many old laptops I've acquired through the years still funtion. This seemed like a good deal for all of the above. However firstly I was disappointed to find that out of 9 laptops I had to test there was not a single one that this fit right. Some were proprietary ports which I can't expect it to cover all of those. But 5 of them were basic, run of the mill barrel jacks which it amazes me this wouldn't cover. 4 out of those 5 laptops had the same dimension jack too across multiple manufacturers and many manufacturer years so it was a common jack size... You definitely shouldn't get this expecting it to be a 'Universal Laptop Charger' as portrayed otherwise you are almost guaranteed to end up with a miss... Now the other problems... Firstly even when this did work the voltage was finicky. Only the first half of the knob on mine actually did anything, when it reached that point and past it was always then locked at 24v. So with half of the knob that's actually more like a quarter... (Given the knob is only 3/5 turn total and that the click On/Off takes up a good chuck of the half of the usable remaining half of the knob.) You are supposed to adjust accurately between 3v and 24v... It was possible but even a slight bump of the unit could cause the voltage to shoot way up or down. Maybe damaging something in the process that was poor manufacturing from the start. Secondly the voltage during use would wander up or down a half volt to a full volt a lot of times when used. Wouldn't happen immediately, would happen over a couple hours when I'd have something charging. So say I have a small flashlight set at 5 volts to charge. I could come back in a couple hours and see it at now 4.5v or 5.5v. That wandering shouldn't happen. Now thirdly and the real meat of it. I wanted to test this across the voltage spectrum and different loads to test thier 5Amp claim but I didn't even have the chance to do that as even though I used this a couple of times for basically nothing, it is completely broken. The unit now just stays at 24.4/24.5v no matter the knob position. Something has failed spectacularly with the unit for no discernable reason. That is unbelievably dissponting, especially at $30ish dollars that ain't cheap. Also even when switched off the unit will pulse on and off for several minutes afterwards. Overall the product was a huge disspotment and not even remotely a good value if this is the quality. Hopefully I can save you some trouble with this. Update: The company seen my review and replaced the defective product. And the new one seems to be working fine. The knob for voltage is still quite sensitive. And the voltage does wander a bit and most of my other complaints in the original review are still applicable... But I am glad the company is at least standing behind their product. As such I am increasing the score from 1 star to 3.

Very handy to have around
I have had this for awhile and find it handy. It was purchase for a DIY Styrofoam cutter. Since then it has worked good for troubleshooting electronics and a power supply when you cannot find the OEM. It fine tuning is good for most things.
