Pyroflam P23A000/5043 Casserole with Lid, 1.0L , White

I was thrilled to see these casserole dishes , in the '60's I bought several dishes similar to these dishes with all the same properties, they had a little blue flower on them. I am still using them although over the years I have chipped the old ones. I have a handle for them and this can be transferred between dishes a great help when lifting from stove top to oven or removing from hot oven. I would really like to see Pyroflam marketing a handle for these dishes too. Well I must say I am not at all disappointed with my purchase. I heat on the top of my Rayburn , soften onions and make sauces etc then transfer to oven. I love the way I can place dish in fridge or freezer then place in hot oven to be transferred to table. Well worth the money. I have also purchased the steamer , very smart piece of crockery. You won't be disappointed with these dishes , such a great help for busy people who need to cook meals straight from the freezer. Delighted with my purchase. Still using the ones from the '60's too.

Absolutely spot on, this 1l casserole/oven to tableware is ideal for smaller family. I wanted something I could put in oven to keep food warm until I put out on table. The glass lid is ideal for keeping food from drying out while cooking, or add the lid after cooking so it will help retain heat, while making it safe to use with your hands. Apparently it can be used directly on gas hob, although I have not had opportunity to try this. I am so pleased, I will be getting another.

I love my Pyroflam casseroles and dishes, the only things that go in the oven, on the hob or in the microwave. They're easy to clean too, after a little soak if necessary. This small one is just the right size for a two-person family. At £15 this wasn't cheap, but no other dish is as versatile. I hope that one day they'll find a way to make the lids equally indestructible - if you drop them they shatter. I have more casseroles than lids! It would also be nice if they made the dishes in colours so they would look better on the table.

Smaller than I thought but that's my fault. I didn't want the next size up (2lt) and a 1.5ltr would have been perfect but they're not made in that size. It's a very dish though.

Bought two of these to replace a couple of plastic microwave pans. Not used on the hob and probably never will, so cannot comment on job performance. Nice to know if I accidentally put it on the hot hob, it would not harm it though. However, they were a doddle to use in the microwave. Not to heavy, as I suffer hand, arm, neck, shoulder and back pain. I could easily tip out any excess water after cooking veg. They didn’t stain, after reheating Chillie and washed brilliant. Comes with a nice instruction book, which I suggest you read if planning using on the job. Smart for serving at the table. All in all, I would buy again and am thinking of getting the next size up. When my older large Pyrex casserole gives up the ghost, l will buy the large one of these.

You can use it on the hob They are brittle and break when being stored could do with some sort of rubber storage membrane.

Cooked a casserole for my 6 month old in the oven at 140 and the lid cracked … contacted the seller, no response. Frankly I’d give the seller and the product a miss

I have this product in 2 sizes, and I have never stopped using them since I got them. They doo all they say they will, cook on the hob, then into the oven. I find the fact that I no longer have to start off in a pan then change to the casserole for the oven such a blessing. I was concerned that the white woould get very discoloured after a lot of use, but they clean really well and still look as new. When it goes in the oven you are finished and dont then have to start on the big clean up. I can see me getting a really big one later too!

Per ora è un ottimo prodotto: si scalda rapidamente, si pulisce molto facilmente, si può usare anche per mangiarci direttamente dentro così non si sporcano ulteriori stoviglie anche perché praticamente è una pentola-ciotola (anche come aspetto) e le posate anche in acciaio non la graffiano, inoltre è anche bella d'aspetto. Non ci sono sapori o odori che emana di alcun tipo ed è praticamente impossibile da scalfire, per cui sembra ragionevolmente un'ottima scelta anche per la salute, forse la migliore. L'unica cosa è che il cibo solido tende ad attaccarsi se lo si lascia fermo senza smuoverlo un po', ma del resto non si può avere tutto...

Il se trouve que, pour nous, la meilleure utilisation est par exemple du poisson (venant du surgelé) au four AVEC COUVERCLE ; le poisson ne sèche pas, tout en faisant un jus coloré (on cuit assez longtemps !). On voit le résultat sans ouvrir. S'utilise aussi pour des viandes fragiles (cuisson en cocotte et non grillades !) avec peu de surveillance.

Eine sehr wertige Form, die ich sowohl im Backofen als auch in der Mikrowelle benutze. Reinigung in der Spülmaschine ist kein Problem. Sieht dekorativ aus; kann man ohne weiteres so auch auf den Esstisch stellen. Praktischer Glasdeckel und unempfindliche Keramik. Nicht billig, aber den Preis wert.

It's great just too slippery but overall good. Food does stick to it.
