This works where others don't! Problem PH too high? Use this!
If you have high aquarium PH and it keeps bouncing back after using a PH lowering product, try this. It worked for me after bottles of PH Down, salts, and PH neutral powders. You don't need much, but you will see a difference quickly. It does not cloud the water and when added in prescribed amounts has not affected my fish, they are safe. It works pretty quickly, though not as fast as the direct PH Down - but the PH stays down. This is a good value and this brand is a well known supplier you can trust. They also offer a PH Up powder that works in similar, but reverse fashion.

MAKE SURE TO MATCH WITH THE BASE
In its pure form it isn't much of a buffer until you add the basic version as well. Be careful! Measure the pH before you add! I was mindlessly adding this for years till one day I wasn't careful and ended up killing all my koi. It's a great product but seriously read and follow the instructions.

Does what its suppose to do
Does what its suppose to do. Only thing they need to change is they need to include the actual measuring spoon with it. Especially for the price!

Great, but know how to use
Ooohhh it works. Fast. DO NOT put directly in the tank and DO NOT mix with any other recently added chemicals. As you can tell - I did both and killed 8 of 11 fish within minutes. I was devastated. It was awful to watch and there was nothing I could do. Dropped my pH from 8.0 to lower than 6 almost immediately and the mixed with other chemical and basically my fish suffocated. Read directions and do research. Premix/dilute and let sit for maybe 5min. Potent stuff.

It works!
I have a 65 gallon planted, dirt tank, with driftwood, and RO water. Something in the substrate buffers my tank to 8.2-8.4. I've tried for years to adjust the pH and used different products (pH Down, Discus Buffer, Neutral Regulator, Vinegar, etc.). They lowered the pH a little but always bounced back overnight. Vinegar was the most effective but it took so much to make an impact and wasn't very stable.I read the reviews and decided to give Seachem Acid Buffer a try. It really works. The dosage is small. Off the top of my head, it's either 1/4 or 1/2 teaspoon per 20 gallons. My water is very soft so I needed less to get results.I had to slowly get the pH down because of the fish. But it would come down and stay down overnight. For the first time in 3 years, my pH is able to be maintained at 6.8 for my South American species tank. The 20-gallon dosage every 2-3 days, keeps my pH perfect!
