Great for older vehicles without bluetooth functionality on the audio system!
I needed a way to connect my phone to my car radio (2007 Renault Scenic) both to listen to music and also for hands free phone calls. This does the job admirably! Just plug it into the phone using the headphone adaptor and I lug the other end to the adaptor cable I fitted to my car radio to allow use of the auxiliary input function. Great sound. I can also use the bluetooth function if I want to get in and go without plugging in the phone. So long as it's paired and bluetooth turned on I can just get in the car and choose the auxiliary input and drive off!

Beautiful form factor, but doesn't work properly... UPDATE
This gorgeous piece of engineering (and mass production) gets two stars because as much as I will rave about the form factor of this marvellous gizmo, the one I have doesn't work properly. It's not fit for use! I am prepared to learn something new about how to operate this bluetooth receiver, or else try a replacement. However, this particular bluetooth receiver is commonly white labelled around Amazon, and reviews elsewhere suggest that while most do work properly, and customers are very satisfied with their purchases, there are still a lot of people who get duds that they just can't get to work well. I've seen a number if reviews complaining about the problem I have, which is that the device can't hold an audio signal steady for more than a few seconds, AND it keeps dropping the bluetooth connection every few minutes. I'll revise this review if I get good service from the supplier, Ownmax. I really want this really cute gizmo to work well. UPDATE: I'm delighted to say that Ownmax has taken the initiative to send a replacement for the BT810 receiver that didn't work, and that the new device works very well. However, I have upped the rating from 2 stars to only 4 stars because there seems to be a lip sync issue with this product. Not a problem if using it with music, but if using it for watching video, the poor lip sync is very distracting. Whether this is a problem with the design of the circuits, or another fault, I don't know, but at least Ownmax have proved themselves to be very responsive to customer needs. If there's any resolution to the lip sync problem, then I will definitely re-rate the product with a full five stars.

Poor reception
Nice, and lightweight receiver, works well. Had some issues with the item I received, it was dropping signal frequently, but Ownmax exchanged it with a superb quality of service. UPDATE Even though the replacement product is far better than the first item, it still has issues with reception. If I put my phone in my backpack on my back it keeps dropping the signal, skips every other second in music, very annoying.

Does not work when recharging
My use of these is probably a little unusual as I use one in the office to play music form PC to pre-existing speakers. The positives are the quality is fine for me but I'm not an audiophile and therefore not that demanding. The battery life is not a whole day and the unit turns off when the battery is recharging. A more annoying feature - I would be happy to leave the unit plugged into a wall wart. The unit paired easily enough with my PC. Having bloke sized fingers the on-off switch has to be pressed with finger nails if you are to see the red / blue led. Not a major problem but more of a missed opportunity to provide unobscured feedback when it is really needed.

and wireless works best for me
I have tried several wireless headphones with mixed success. I run, work out in gym and walk my dogs every day, and wireless works best for me. I have several wire headsets including my favourite B&O pair which have adjustable ear hooks. I bought this bluetooth receiver and I have to say it works perfectly. I have noticed no material degradation of sound quality and the receiver provides me the freedom I was looking for. The controls work simply and well, and after several uses each day for a couple of weeks the performance of gadget has not changed. I may buy another one as a backup should I lose one or drain battery while out.

Absolute piece of rubbish ...
Absolute piece of rubbish that stopped working the day after I could have returned it... the battery life is 3 hours MAX! The clip of the back this is there to fix it to clothing is extremely flimsy and came loose some time ago. I should have guessed it would be trouble when I first turned it on and a voice said, "Power Ong" Anyway, it now doesn't turn off either, so it's been abandoned in the garage to rot. Do yourself a favour and choose a different one because this is pure and utter total cheap junk.

Using in car to stream music to stereo
**Update** - found only one annoying thing. When the battery is dying it keeps interjecting with a message every 10 seconds making listening impossible. I wish it would just let me listen till the battery completely dies. Purchased to use in my car. Plugs into Aux in connector and even comes with a really short male-to-male connector. Only problem with the connector is that as it's solid each time I need to switch it on I kept having to unplug it and plug back in - more of a problem as it's the location of the aux in on my car. Battery power is decent with around 10 hours between charge. I wish it would let you plug into charger and use as there has been a few journeys where it's gone flat. Sound quality and build quality really good as well.

Good little gadget
Great little gadget. Bought as upgraded my phone (iPhone 7) and didn’t have blue tooth in the car. Paired to the phone easily, plugged into AUX port in the car, and played music without problem. Just have to remember to turn it off when done as otherwise the battery runs out.
