"Before We Were Yours" by Lisa Wingate is just a marvelous book, which pulls you into it's story immediately and doesn't let you go until you've finished it! I just couldn't put it down! The story is told by going back and forth from the past and the present until they meet in the present.. Also, just thinking that the book is based on true facts, even though the actual story in the book is fictional, makes the reading even more interesting.. The author put together many true testimonials in order to write this book.. It's just great reading! What a story!! What an adventure! It certainly holds your attention, and plays with your emotions.. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic novel! I couldn’t stop reading. The story followed me after I’ve finished the book. That shows me how good it was for me.

After such a long time, I have come across a book I couldn’t put down! And it is so beautifully written and heartbreaking, to imagine the horror of the situation and the children’s plight. This is a book that’ll shake you, but also make you fall in love with it, with each of the carefully drawn characters. One of my best reads in what I feel has been ages!
