Just buy it!
I read the reviews before ordering this product. It arrived very shortly after I ordered it and I used it straight away. I used wire wool to clean the beechwood block work surface and initially applied the Liberon Finishing Oil with a paint brush. Not very impressive! However, I stuck to my guns and applied a second coat (after light use of wire wool) with a lint free rag (actually an old pair of underpants) and this looked better. A third coat followed and the result was fantastic! A beautiful sheen which caused liquid to bead on the surface. A beautiful deep, rich colour emerged from the wood and the grain was beautifully enhanced. I had been using Ronseal worktop oil which was OK but nowhere near as good in presenting a finish. Ten coats of Ronseal had still not given a sheen. Make sure you read and follow the instructions and you will be as delighted as I was.

Great product
first time I had tried to strip a table top, this product was very very easy to use. just wiped on with a lint free cloth, needed 5 coats with a rub down with fine grade steel wool to get a really deep shine and good layer of protection. Wanted to make sure as it is a kitchen table used daily. After 3 weeks of tough use the finish still looks great.

SUPERB PRODUCT
This finishing oil dries in less than 5 hours on oak. I gave my surfaces 7 coats and used 000 grade steel wool between each coat. Applied with a lint free cloth to all surfaces. Very high gloss finish. I have used this previously on my oak staircase and it is very hard wearing. It has been on the stairs for 7 years, and no signs of wear on the bannister.

Fantastic Worktop Oil
The oil provided by our kitchen company was extremely poor quality and provided no protection from water damage. It also turned the worktops a stange yellow colour so it had to go in the bin. After reading several million reviews I finally settled on this Liberon Oil. Firstly, I would not recommend you put it straight on top of old oil- gently sand the surface first in the direction of the wood grain with some medium or fine sandpaper. This will also remove any belmishes or surface water marks. After the first coat, I was startled to notice the colours that were brought out of the natural oak wood that the other oil had masked. The rich variety on the panelling has transformed my kitchen and after 3 coats, the worktops are now a really nice feature. Make sure you wipe off any excess after each coat within about 10 minutes otherwise the worktops will go sticky and appear matted- you have to work harder on the wiping off than the application! After 3 coats, the worktops now look like they have a solid coat of glass on top. They are so shiny that the tiles are reflected in the surface! I cannot comment on the durability or long-term quality of this oil but so far I could not be happier. The water naturally beads on the worksops and is easily wiped off. The reaoson for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the order took 9 days to arrive. Otherwise, cant fault the product!

Great stuff!
I love this finishing oil. I've used it mainly on guitar necks and bodies, but also on a kitchen draining board and a snooker table. It's really easy to apply and finish, much better than varnish. But when it's dry it looks like varnish. I'll be using it on an oak floor soon.

Perfect for Pine Furniture
I've just used this to restore some pine furniture which has faded on top and got several marks and stains. I sanded with a fine 320 grit paper and then applied a few coats. It has done an excellent job and has put the life and colour back in to the furniture. It looks like new again. Really couldn't recommend this oil more.

Love this oil
Used this Liberon finishing oil on numerous jobs, first on my oak kitchen worktops and chopping boards. And now converting some church pews into revenue for a local church by making coasters, crosses, cheese bords and trivetts and using this oil to finish them. Very easy to apply with brush or rag. The more coats the glossy the finish.
