not ricola original sweets!
i bought these in good faith, and thought they were going to be a bargain,as they are so expensive, but when i tasted them, they were nothing like the ones ive had before from tesco, the real ones are bright yellow, these are an amber colour, and they tasted so disgusting that my daughter and myself spat them out into the bin which is where the rest of the ten packets are going! they are a cheap substitute, nothing remotely like the proper ricola, which taste lovely, and which i normally have from tesco, theres no way i will ever be buying from these people again!what a waste of my money!and what a cheek, trying to pass them off as real just for a quick profit!im disgusted!

Perfect as lozenges for sore throats
I love Ricola sugar-free sweets, which I use as lozenges when I have a sore throat. I used to use Strepsils, which were sweetly delicious, but then that's not surprising given they're full of sugar. Strepsils make your mouth the perfect environment for dental bacteria, because you suck on them for long stretches at a time when you have a sore throat, and they coat your teeth and gums in a sticky sugary layer, which your teeth will marinate in for hours. Particularly because (if your sore throats are like mine) you'll be using lozenges during the night, after you've brushed your teeth, because that's when your throat is at its worst and keeping you awake. I've stopped using Strepsils for this reason. Their only sugar-free flavour (strawberry) tastes vile, super-artificial and metallic. And I have very strong doubts that there is any medical value whatsoever in their "active ingredients" - I once read in a consumer magazine that they work mainly by keeping your mouth hydrated, the sucking prompting you to swallow a lot, which eases the throat pain. You would get the same result by sucking on anything a similar size. So I've switched to the Ricola sugar-free sweets (e.g. Ricola Sugar Free Lozenges Lemon Mint 45g , Ricola 45g Sugar Free Orange Mint Herb Drops , RICOLA ELDERFLOWER LOZENGES 45G , Ricola Liquorice Swiss Herbal Sweets 45g (Pack of 10) , THREE PACKS of Ricola Cranberry lozenges Sugar Free 45g ). These come in far more flavours, in fact better flavours, and won't rot your teeth. I've found that they work just as well - in fact better because I like the flavours and use them more. If my throat is seriously painful, especially during the night, I use Ultra Chloraseptic Throat Spray Original - 15ml as well. Between Ricola and Chloraseptic, you'll feel far better than with Strepsils, and do no harm to your teeth.

My favorite cough drops! No artificial ingredients. That is always what I look for. Stevia for sweetness for you don't have sugar laying against your teeth while it desolves. I've not been able to find this in my local stores so was very happy to find here. The little boxes they come in are very convenient. They are not individually wrapped in the box with works fine for me. No paper waste is a plus! Also works well to keep your mouth and throat lubricated.

I won't buy any other version of Ricola. These are the most soothing cough drops I have ever used, and they don't make my teeth hurt after I finish one. The flavor is wonderful even though it has stevia in it. I was shocked that it just blended in. I will need to buy the recipe if they ever stop making them.

I use it because I have Barrets esophagus, which is more severe form of Gerd. Instead of having to take the nasty medicines if I get an upset, I suck on a few Ricola and they take care of it some of the ingredients in there like horehound, hyssup, Linden flowers, elder and probably more make it a lot more than just a regular cough drop. It's a real healing drop as well. The only one I think really works as well is the original formula but it really works well.

this item is NOT portrayed as individual boxes of NOT wrapped cough drops... It is NOT individually wrapped cough drops

These are the BEST cough drops I have every used. Unfortunately, Ricola appears to have changed the packaging and removed the information that these are sugar-free and made with Stevia. I don't like that because I want to KNOW what I am taking. Or maybe I just received the wrong item in my last Subscribe & Save order.
