An excellent journal, well made, a pleasure to write in and own
I’d been looking for a new journal with a nice weight to it. I had been reading some reviews of different versions of them when I found this particular journal. It definitely ticked all the boxes I was looking for. Sturdy, classy, smart and with a touch of refinement. When it arrived what initially surprised me, pleasantly so, was the size. Bigger than I imagined it but that was a plus as far as I was concerned. Very well made, a lovely gold gilt to the page edges giving it a nice refined look. The journal pages opened up evenly, which made writing on them a real pleasure without having to fight to hold one side down. The paper is of a nice quality, I write with a fountain pen and the ink was soaked up well with the paper and didn’t leave any ink to be smudged (being a left-hander thats a bonus, trust me!). I am going to be buying more of these journals for different projects and i feel confident that they will easily fulfill my needs for this.

VERY Lovely notebook
Gold foil edged pages, book mark ribbon, sewn spine, 190mm (w) x 230mm (h). It is quite a bit larger than most others in the PP series. Lovely embossed Roman Breviary pattern cover (same both front and back) by Charles Piques of Lyons in 1556, deeply embossed with gold highlights and 3 tone (browns) faux leather. Nice (simpler) spine decor. 192 very faint lined blank pages of heavy archival (acid free) paper (others in the same series only have 160 pages). A blank gold card weight inset page front and back. 1 title page simply 'Journal' with verso a 3 line summary of Peter Pauper's 1928 start. The paper will take a fountain pen well and is not watermarked. The description sticker leaves no residue, but needs a bit of ordinary care to stay in 1 piece when you pull it off. Lovely, smart and tasteful. A mini-work of art from all angles, done with care and pride. A pleasure to look at and to hold. My favourite and one of the biggest of all the Paperblank and Peter Pauper journals. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The best notebook ever!
Oh my goodness this is so special-I almost don’t feel worthy,it should be filled with a story like Elena’s in the Vampire Diaries or be a magicians grimoire or something! I truly think it has ruined other notebooks for me-I don’t think I will ever buy from another company again. It’s just a delight to hold and look at, and I’m trying to think of a special purpose for it.

Stunning Journals For Precious Memories.
I've lost count of how many of these 192 page journals I've ordered now, this being the latest. Beautiful, thick cream pages, faintly ruled and silky smooth... This isn't just ANY paper.. This is Peter Pauper Press paper.... Ideal for fountain pen ink. This journal lies flat and is finished with gilded edges and the bookmark is always a bonus. Stunning pieces of art in their own right. But don't buy it as a gift.... You'll have to part with it, and you won't want to. It'll be hard, so hard. Well, unless you're a maverick and insist on gifting these, I bet you'll order two. I speak from experience. Now I just refuse to gift these. Refuse.

A beautiful quality journal
I love Peter Pauper journals. The paper is of a lovely quality and colour and an ink pen flows beautifully across the page. The design on the front makes it feel very special and far more expensive than it actually is. Being able to get a variety of sizes too is a plus. This is the second I have purchased and will not be the last. Also makes a gorgeous luxury feeling present too. I honestly cannot fault these.

Great product
I’ve kept a daily journal for several years now and have always used Peter Pauper products. This is a slightly different design to those I’ve used before which are no longer available. These are better being a little larger and seem to accommodate much more text per page than previously. Well made, stylish design and the lines on the pages are dark enough to keep your writing tidy but not obtrusive. Great product.

This journal is one of the most beautiful products by Paperblanks. Rich, sensuous, royal, it came beautifully packed by the supplier. From start to finish, a most satisfying purchase.
