It's much.. cleaner than his other albums; Not as grimey as ACS, and not as gloomy-sounding (Instrumental wise). BUT, it's one of my favorites from him. The sounds are heavenly, and vocals are haunting (in a good way). Great Big White World - 9, Awesome opener. depicts Manson looking down upon earth. Seeing all the troubles of humanity. The Dope Show - 10, a classic really. Mechanical Animals - 10, Great track, lyrics based on a kid who had killed himself with ACS on repeat in the CD deck, his father claimed Manson was a "hand grenade" that went off in kids heads. Rock Is Dead - 10, yet another classic! Disassociative - 10, Awesome song, quite mellow. The Speed of Pain - 10, a very sad song. From what I gather it's about a relationship. Posthuman - 8, defiantly not the greatest on here, but still pretty good. I Wanna Disappear - 9, A little bit like his older stuff, but with a new feel. Energetic for sure. I Don't Like the Drugs (But the Drugs Like Me) - 10, Whoa. Just, wow. It really brings in some different elements we haven't yet seen before in Manson's earlier work! Awesome stuff. New Model No. 15 - 9, Good song, upbeat and energetic, nice lyrics. User Friendly - 8, almost seems like it's stripped down or unfinished, but a good song so it deserves an 8. Fundamentally Loathsome - 10, Great song, pretty sad and dark. The Last Day On Earth - 10, really shines. Quite sad and, in my opinion, a bit of a romantic song. Coma White - 10, GOLDEN, awesome song just like Coma Black, but better in my opinion, again, it has the albums sort of cleaner and smooth feeling. Overall: 10/10! Came with a SMALL crack on the back of the case (once you take it out of the sleeve). Nothing major, but I was disappointed. Although it plays well. Awesome stuff here. Review: Beautiful! Long live MAR1LYN MAN5ON!!! - Without a doubt, this album by Marilyn Manson is a big part of musical culture. It contains every element that a famous album needs (great songs, a strong message...if not many, iconic cover art, and of course: a true artist on vocals). Portrait of an American Family (MM's first album) is like a handful of needles, Anti-Christ Superstar (MM's 2nd album) is the soundtrack to the apocalypse, and now Mechanical Animals is a smooth spaceship ride through the galaxies. All the songs have an electronic, somewhat science fictional sound to them...adding a brilliant atmosphere. This album has hard tracks (Rock is Dead, New Model No. 15, I Want to Disappear), and very emotional tracks (The Speed of Pain, The Last Day on Earth, Coma White). Personally, I like the emotional tracks...whenever I'm feeling down or lonely they just bring comfort to all of my feelings and make me feel as if I'm not alone! To call Marilyn Manson a musician is a major understatement, even calling him a ROCK GOD seems insulting. I can lay in bed and put on Mechanical Animals, and I will feel myself floating to a peaceful place far away. Thank you so much MM, you are my favorite man alive and I wish for you to continue releasing divine albums!!! A Classic in the Marilyn Manson Discography
Mechanical Animals is a well-crafted album that I've been after for some time and finally I decided to buy it on Amazon. When I received my product, I noticed that the CD had a crack on the front case. I was upset that the product came like this because I'm collecting CD's and Manson is one of my favorite artists so I really like to maintain a mint condition. What made it worse was that it was the tour edition. The front case was blue so I couldn't simply swap it for another. I was pleased to know that I owned the tour copy, but I just wish it wasn't cracked. Back to reviewing the music, Manson's lyrics flow well with the melodies and are pretty inspirational and poetic. The beats to some of the more faster paced songs are just right to where you want to tap your foot and/or nod your head to the music. I also particularly liked the album artwork; Very creative and sci-fi. If you like Manson at all, you will buy this masterpiece. It's golden and very exotic. 5/5.

She wanted a CD
This is the wife's 4th CD of this title.. Over the years she loans them out and never gets them back.. Her van still has a CD player but no Bluetooth or USB so the digital download was a non starter.. Now she can bang her head on the steering wheel and window again as she cruises..

Merci MM
