Let me say I have waited for months before writing this review. I gave the product plenty of time to see if it held up and continued to work. I also wanted to see if my dog tolerated the product after a time. My dog is in the last stages of life. The male was going through an issue many older dogs have, he could not prevent his legs from sliding straight out to the sides, hard floors. This caused and kept him in great pain. He got to the point where he didn't want to even attempt to get up, it was a battle for him. I kept his nails trimmed and paw hair cut short so his pads could do the best they could, it didn't help. Like all dog lovers I started out buying the socks that had a hard rubber bottom half. The dog looked and sounded like a trotter moving about the house and he hated them. I tried several sizes and companies and he seemed to be trying to out run them when attempting to move. They also would rotate out of position frequently.From there I tried the paw sticky pads, they worked ok but had to be replaced frequently each day. I read where there was a medically safe glue that would hold them on better so I tried that. It did improve them however the adhesion became difficult when taking the sticky paws offwhich caused the dogs pads to become quite tender in short order.Next I tried this product, I have bought them three separate times not because they wore out but to wash one pair or if they get wet when going out in the grass. It took my dog a brief time to get use to them and now he looks foreward to have me put them on, it is like four wheel drive when he gets up, walks or runs, I never thought I would see that day again when he was running. Also they are easy to put on and get off. they are comfortable for him to wear and the company has managed to design these so that no matter how they may twist on his paw they fit and work the same and are just as comfortable. Understand I was seriously considering what no dog lover wants to think about. Once I began to use these it took him roughly six weeks to heal back up from all the pulled muscles etc. to get back to normal. He is an older dog so he doesn't run around like he is young but he does run at a slow pace and is back to playing with his sister totally pain free. These have given him at least another year of quality life. If you decide to by them be sure to get the right size. My first pair were a size to big and he still did fine with them however when I purchased the right size it was better. Good luck, as you can see I can't speak highly of this product, who wouldn't when they did so much for my best friend.One last thought, in desperation to find a fix for our dog when he starts slipping, we try everything and are usually disappointed, also our dog is not getting the help he needs which is also troubling.

I have a 16 1/2 year old Lab mix, 94 lbs. He has arthritis in his back legs and he slips and splays out on slippery floors.I tried other rubber soled shoes but they twisted on his foot, tripped him up on sidewalks/concrete, and made him stumble and fall.These are easy to get on. I put the sides of my thumbs on each side of his leg, roll the sock top down a little, and slip them on. It's similar to putting socks on a child. My dog even flexes his leg straight as if he's trying to help.At this point, these socks stay on my dog 24/7. I put new ones on about every week, or sooner depending on the weather. I check his feet to make sure not issues with paws. I mentioned this to my vet at our last visit and they said there were not issues with doing this. These socks are cotton and breathe.They do eventually get holes in them at the ends due to toenails. I buy new sets of socks every few months. I will keep these on my dog until he is not longer with me. Maybe they could reinforce the inside of the sock with a little of the grippy material to help with the eventual toenail holes. But I wouldn't want anything to hinder the breathability of the sock.These have been a complete game changer! He can hop off steps without wiping out. He even trots a little bit to get treats because he now has confidence that these give him traction and stability. At this point, I'm only using them on his hind legs, where he has his stability issues. I may eventually add these to his front paws as well. He would be completely indestructible on slick floors at that point.I adjust the Velcro strap every other day, or if I see that there is a little too much sock slack at the end of his paw. Every time I adjust them, he gives me a kiss. He loves these socks, and I'm sure he realizes what they do for him.

I bought these for my 14 y/o, 100 lb Airedale who has mobility issues…particularly on hard surfaces…because of spinal stenosis. He’s no stranger to boots because we’ve always used them when hiking in rocky terrain, and when the pavement was too hot, so there was no problem getting used to them. If this is your dog’s first time wearing boots, I highly recommend being ready to make a video:-)I found them easy to put on. Simply stretch the neck over all four toes and pull them up.Most dogs have front feet that are larger than their back feet. There is a significant difference in size in my dog’s front and back, so I have ordered a second set in a different size to address this. It would be nice if the seller sold them in pairs, but they’ll probably last longer since I’ll have two complete sets.No matter what brand, boots and socks twist on dogs’ feet, so I appreciate that there is traction no matter which way they go. My dog apparently remembers from experience wearing boots two years ago that he can walk without skidding when he wears them because he confidently walked across the hardwoods as soon as he had these socks on. I’m hoping they will help with his pain because of no longer tweaking muscles to avoid a sploot.

Hi! I just wanted to message you guys and rave about your tiger toes socks for dogs! I have a senior dog that has been having trouble with slipping and sliding on hard floors. I was so afraid she was going to really hurt herself falling! I was desperate to find her some relief and came across the tiger toes on Amazon. The second I put them on her she felt so much more secure in her footing on our hard floors and now walks with confidence through our home instead of skittish fear. She's so much more relaxed now and we will be tiger toes customers for the rest of her life! We've now purchased a couple pairs so we can rotate them out for washing as she wears them24/7!
