SIZE So as the seller refuses to list the sizes available, I've measured mine. The included headband is adjustable by about 1.5"/3.5cm and goes from about 54 to 58cm or 21 to 23 inches. Typical 'adult' head size and will fit 'most' people. With some modification (by sewing in some more Velcro) it could probably be made to fit slightly smaller than 50cm, and by removing the headband you can increase the maximum size as well. My head is in the region of 66cm/26" (Yes, I'm an alien hybrid mutant) and even after removing the headband and the straps for the headband is quite tight on my head and wobbles whenever I move, probably the biggest you can sensibly wear this at would be 62cm/24" REVIEW The outer shell is rather nice, slightly pliable more than flexible, and will be able to take a little bit more abuse than the hard plastic hats/helmets you often see in this price range. The fabric coating is very suitable, really looks the part, although I did find a few loose ends of thread that I trimmed away. Probably me being a perfectionist, more than a genuine issue there. The bands around the outside are the same material and the folds are aesthetically pleasing. They are held in place with thread so should stay put, with only minimal movement that would only annoy an OCD perfectionist like me. The inner headband is very nice quality faux leather and fells very comfortable(I'm reliably informed by my sister who has a much smaller head than I do) this helmet could easily be worn for an entire day without becoming painful. That is, so long as your head isn't the size of a small moon like mine. The chin strap is purely ornamental, unfortunately, and although it can be loosened and pulled down, will probably not fit underneath anyone's chin. If you were to try, it would probably break as it's much thinner than the inner headband. Conclusion All in all a very good costume piece for a host of adventurer style cosplays. Very good quality for the price, I would recommend this to anyone except the most dedicated purist. I'll finish this review by pointing out that the mannequin head in the picture is wearing his helmet backwards, a laughable if small error that makes him look a little silly.

I'm a 7 5/8 head and it's a perfect fit. Perfect for role play, summer parties or if you just want to appear somewhat eccentric.

Didn't have time to return the Pith Helmet for a replacement - since I needed it for a performance. HOWEVER, the surprise of finding the inside lining of the helmet full of white mould - was very disappointing. Obviously the trip from Thailand in a container through the tropics caused this problem - I cleaned and sanitised the helmet and hopefully have killed the mould spores. Other than that - it looks good and is well made.

Good transaction

Not entirely sure what I'm going to do with this yet, but I'm pleased I bought it. It's very light so easy to wear and fits my, normally, 59cm head perfectly. It smells a bit weird out of the box but I'm sure that will pass with airing. If you want an affordable pith helmet and your head is 59cm or less in circumference I recommended this.

I bought this a bit last minute and did not realise that this would be shipped from Ireland and so would take a bit longer than I thought to arrive- my own fault. However I contacted the seller and they told me which day it would arrive which gave me the chance to order something else that would arrive in time. It has now arrived within the time frame that the seller told me it would and it is a very good quality hat with a very nice leather head band. I have got a small head so the back of this hat does rest against my back a bit and the point and the front does get a little in the way of seeing things. But i still think that this is a super hat for the occasional fancy dress party.

しっかりした作りです。 帽体の厚みは約１２ｍｍ、茶色の合皮のライナーが金具でしっかり留められています。内側も緑色の布地で覆われていて帽体の素材は判りませんがプラスチックや発泡スチロールでは無さそうです。 Pith helmetのピス（マメ科の髄）なのか樹皮なのかまあそんなところでしょう。 頭頂部にベンチレーションの金具がしっかり留められています。質量は200g位で工事現場で使うプラスチックのヘルメットよりだいぶ軽いです。 後ろの庇の部分は野外では無防備になる後頚部を強い日差しや物理的な衝撃から保護することが出来ます。 ベルクロの調整範囲は55ｃｍから57ｃｍといったところでしょうか欧米人の頭の形に合うようにやや長丸です。頭のサイズや形によっては内壁に干渉してしまうように思われます。 まだ地球上に未開の探検すべき所の在った時代のデザインのヘルメットをかぶって郊外の野山を散策するのもちょっとした探検気分を味わえるような気がします。

It’s a nice costume piece, especially for the price, but the details are definitely lacking. I’m using it as a costume accessory so I’m rating it accordingly. The puggaree wrapping started to come off almost immediately. It’s made of separate scrap strips of canvas, not one long piece, and held in by a few stitches and some glue. I planned to remove them anyway so it didn’t bother me but I would recommend adding more glue if you want them to retain their shape. The leather liner is decent, with a Velcro closure to adjust fit. The chinstrap isn’t really usable except as decoration across the brim. The leather strap is too thin, unfinished on one side, and features a (sharp edged) stamped metal buckle. It is adjustable enough you can get it over your chin but it’s not practical or comfortable to do so. On the plus side, the canvas is good quality and applied well. The overall shape is accurate and symmetrical. I can’t tell if it is pith, cork, or something else but it is a good balance between sturdy and lightweight. All told, it’s nowhere near the quality of a vintage pith helmet but it’s really hard to beat for the price.

この商品は、見た目もオシャレです。なので今年は、猛烈に暑い夏なのでお散歩時には欠かせません。なんと言っても軽く防暑帽をかぶった時に頭上部が帽子に直接触れない様に紐があり風通しも良いです。（帽子を取った時も頭（髪型）が潰れません）そして、キャップと違い耳に向かって目の斜め下の辺りの一番シミの出来やすい辺りに太陽光線が当たりづらくてとても重宝しています。

Il casco è robusto (per lo scopo per cui è nato, cioè proteggere dal sole: non è un elmetto antiproiettile né anti-infortunistico) e ben realizzato. Ho avuto l'occasione di osservare un casco coloniale ("pith helmet") originale degli anni Trenta e la differenza è sorprendentemente minima. Raccomandato.
