It works well
I have pendants that had become discoloured as they are not real silver. I am so pleased that I am able to wear them again! This worked like magic and was sooo easy. I am expecting to have to re-apply the liquid regularly to both build up the tbe layers of plating and touch up any fading. I also used this on some very tarnished real silver rings. Initially the look improved but already ffing after 2 days so it may take longer to get a good colour back & to build a more robust finish on items exposed to heavy daily wear. But for the price this is worth the effort if it means I can wear favourite pieces of jewellery again.

Works magic on plated copper!
Wanted to re-plate my old copper-plated candle sticks, which showed heavy 'bleeding'. However, was not sure about the effect so tried it on a brass-plated server first. After a lot of elbow grease and using abt. 1/3rd of the bottle, nothing had happened, also not on a brass sugar spoon, very disappointing! Then decided to put some of the solution on and old copper penny, and that worked! Felt more confident to use it on my candlesticks then, but tried the bobeche first, which came up very nicely. Worked my way round both candlesticks and they look absolutely beautiful again. Very pleased with the result, so a big thank you to Nushine!! First pic shows the original colour, 2nd pic is half the foot done, 3rd pic is after treating it completely. They are ready for next Christmas! Tip off to prevent over-polishing silver/plate items: if you don't use your plated silver/silver much, after cleaning/polishing then put items in a zip bag, push the air out and close the bag. Items will not turn black for a long time and is ready for use. That's what I do with my candlesticks.

good solution for electroless silver plating over copper
I used this product to plate a copper ring I made few years ago. I prepared the surface by cleaning with acetone followed by rubbing with steel wool. When I applied the solution the ring surface turned black but after cleaning with soft cloth a nice silver color was obtained.

OK but not brilliant
Not brilliant but it does put at shine on the plate and 'fills' in on the lightly rubbed areas. Doesn't truly plate in the way commercial electroplating can but does give a relatively good result. Pleasant to use but a lot of work!!

Makes a difference, but not a good one
I thought I'd try this stuff before sending my sentimentally valuable bracelet somewhere to be tree-plated. So I patiently applied, rubbed and buffed a full 100ml bottle onto a worn silver plated bracelet over the course of various evenings. I persevered because it appeared to be making some difference after the first few applications. In my opinion, the bracelet actually looked worse by the time I'd finished. With a dark border having appeared between the remaining silver plate and the underlying alloy. I'd hoped the buffing would slowly turn the darker part shiny. Sally not. Guess you get what you pay for. Don't waste your money and just buy a silver cloth to polish whatever silver plate is left on your items. Don't expect any new silver to magically appear.

Amazing!
I’m so so happy this worked so well! I don’t usually write reviews but i thought it might help someone in the same position I was! This necklace was (surprisingly, for the price) only silver plated and I started to notice the silver rubbing off after a couple months of wearing it. I started looking online for a silver re-plating service and came across this product, so I thought I’d give it a shot cause I love a bit of DIY. I used a cotton bud to carefully buff in the product, and lo and behold it worked better than I could have imagined 🤩 I would definitely recommend using a cotton bud for this if you’re using it on jewellery, to properly get to all surfaces. The first 2 pictures are before, and the second two pictures are after! you can see where the silver rubbing off on the back of the pendant created some rough texture, and the solution doesn’t even that out so bear that in mind! Also I only used a tiny amount for this so this bottle will probably last for ages. Hope this helps someone!

It really does work. Restored the silver plating that had rubbed down to brass.
I wasn't sure this would really work and was very pleasantly surprised when it did. I'm a bit of a magpie and have loads of cheap shiny glass tennis bracelets and rings where the silver plating has worn off and the base metal below was showing through. I followed the instructions, cleaned everything with a toothbrush and hot soapy water, dried it and then rubbed on the grey liquid from the well shaken bottle. I'd thought it would take a lot of rubbing but I just applied a thick coating, wandered off to do other stuff, and when I returned to rub the items they'd all turned silver again. Like magic. It even gave a whole new lease of life to a ring my mum bought in the 1960s where nearly all the silver plating had worn away. That too is shiny and silver looking. Don't know how long the new coating will last, but it was a doddle to do so I don't mind having to repeat the process.
