The Wild Robot Protects (Volume 3) (The Wild Robot, 3)

The whole series is fun! An easy read with my boys who are 7 and 9. We all love the books.

This is a great book about the relationship between humans and technology and how we as humans can effect every creature on the planet and not even be aware of it. I imagine in the book that the majority of humans used the technology (buying phones, computers, tablets, robots, etc.) but never thought where it came from or what has to be done to the environment to obtain the materials for it. As such, they don’t realize that just through the use of these things that they are literally effecting every creature on earth. It really hits home. It doesn’t seem too far fetched to happen in the near future. The other day I saw a human looking robot on T.V. and it looked kind of eerily similar to how I pictured Roz walking around. Also, I’m not intending to be rude when I say this, but did a child do the book’s illustrations? I honestly want to know the answer.

Great book

I loved this book because it was really interesting and we learned a lot about the ocean and robots and it had lots of love in it.

Life for Roz and the animals on their island is perfect. But when mysterious, dangerous waters surround the island, the animals are forced inland to fight over dwindling resources. Roz calms and organizes the animals, but the poison tide takes a terrible toll on the island. So the wild robot sets out across the ocean, determined to stop the poison tide.
