Melitta water filter
We have a Melitta Barrister coffee machine. We live in an area with very hard water. This product is excellent.

Good value kit, for a Melitta bean to cup machine. Allows you to try all the items you may need. Although Melitta should include this with a new machine.

Does the job!
Great value for money! Does exactly what it is supposed to do. There is a small instruction booklet inside and 4 tablets. Each tablet is sealed individually in foil, so you can use the remaining tablets at a later date. 500ml of water and drop the tablet in until it has finished fizzing. Then the rest of the process will depend on your make and model of coffee machine. After that I flushed out twice by running 2 full tanks of water through. This was the cheapest way of decalcifying I could find. Very easy and simple to do. Didn't leave any odd after taste or smell.

Darned expensive
They do the trick but the cost is a little steep. Overall they contribute to making a good cup of coffee so maybe the cost is justified. Certainly it's less expensive than visiting a high street coffee shop and you don't have to drink out of a cardboard cup! You pays your money and takes your pick.

My kettle and coffee maker still require regular descaling, even though we do not live in a hard water area, and this product is fantastic. works incredibly well on even the thickest limescale layers. Highly recommend it.
