Is this feeder made of metal and glass or metal and plastic?

Hi dear, this feeder is made of metal with clear container and hard plastic weatherproof roof.

Do squirrels bother this feeder? How does this feeder hold up over time?

I do not have this feeder, however, I do know that squirrels will bother any and all feeders that they can access. Baffles are a good thing to use to keep them off. Also, they do not particularly like safflower. If you use safflower seed you will draw cardinals, titmouse, chickadees and others, likely without being bothered by squirrels. Another way to keep squirrels from figuring out how to get to you feeder is to feed them cracked corn at another location in your yard. Best option is to keep them away so I suggest a top or bottom baffle depending on how you putting this out in your yard.

Can larger birds feed here such as doves?

I haven't seen any doves at my feeder, they kinda position themselves underneath on the ground to catch the seed that drops from the feeder, but more commonly I will see swallows, red-wing blackbirds, and cardinals feeding from this feeder. The base seems a bit too small for the morning doves to perch on.
