Very good, easy to use
This is perfect for wanting to build your own frames. Easy to use and good quality. The bracket is solid and well constructed and the extras are great, and there are lots of them. Only thing missing is instructions, but it's easy enough to "guess"

Worth the purchase
Took some time to figure out how to use this. Instructions are poor. But all in all its good quality

Really Good, apart from one design element...
I purchased one of these about 5 years ago and found - particularly - the manual corner staple punch to be invaluable. However, during one particularly exuberant framing session recently the magnetic end came out...along with the ball-bearing...which I lost! Needless to say I had to replace it and since I was running low of the rest of the framing supplies I just bought another kit...also got another corner vice into the bargain! It gets 4-stsars because of the design of the manual corner staple tool...The design remains the same as it was, so I can guarantee I will be losing that ball-bearing in another 5 years time!

Disappointing
The blurb says this is a 'metal' item but only the angle frame is metal, the tightening screw, handle and flexible angle jaws are plastic and not overly robust, suitable really only for lightweight picture frames. I'm not expecting it to stand the test of time. The V-nail fixer is fiddly and really a waste of time - you can do the same job more quickly using just a small-headed pin hammer. It is what it says it is and contains lots of useful little bits and pieces, BUT is not really worth the money in my opinion.

Got it for my art group.
This hasn't been used, as yet, but it seems perfect for us. As an art group, we'll need frames of so many different sizes so I got this. I will be using it soon.

Not even suitable for beginners
I bought this for a 12 year old as it's obviously for beginners. Here are the reasons why you shouldn't: 1. The corner clamp has sharp plastic ridges that mark the wood whilst it's held in position. it's mostly plastic also. 2. The angled pins are fiddly to use and often fall flat due to the supplied punch having a smooth impact head rather than a groove for the pin to slot into Here's what you should buy instead: 1. A set of four metal corner clamps with flat edges to avoid damaging the frame 2. A peen hammer (basically a small hammer) 3. A set of needle nose pliers to hold the angled pin in place while you gently tap with the hammer You should be able to pick up those three items for not much more than this kit and they will work well.

A usful piece of kit
I particularly needed this to help with inserting V nails into some very hard wood. It seems to do the trick. It is a lttle too big for very small frames, but looks like it is going to be very useful.

This corner clamp is excellent for small frames
This corner clamp is excellent for small frames. I have found it much easier to use glue than the staples provided in the pack. The glue I use takes over 6 hours to dry and I have, therefore, bought 4 clamps and can assemble 2 frames a day without working at inconvenient hours. The other contents of the kit are of limited use but I understand that it is no cheaper to buy the clamps without them.
