Lightweight, Comfortable and Effective.
I'm a blues harp player in a band where the banter between band members and with the audience is as important as the music. The audience can't hear the banter if I use a standard mic on a stand while I turn to tease the other band members or move around to switch to other instruments. So I was looking for a head mic and bought a cheap wireless microphone system, However, the mics that came with the system were omni-directional I still need my specialist harp mic for the harmonica so I figured I needed one with a cardioid pattern. Hence the purchase of this mic.I've used it at one gig so far and was very happy with the results. By clasping the harp mic in my usual way I found there was no transfer of the sound to the head mic. Occasionally, the head mic would pick up sounds of my breathing, but by adjusting my hold on the harp mic I found I could kill that, so, overall, I got just the result I wanted.Other benefits over the standard mic that came with the head mic kit include its flesh colour, much smaller "bud" that is the mic itself, and the more secure head band. The only concerns are the longevity of the extremely fine wire that forms the device and whether replacements for the foam windshield will be easily obtainable. Fitting the windshield was a little tricky and I needed to work with tweezers to slip it over the microphone bud.

Uses a mini-XLR and doesn't make this clear
I have yet to use this microphone but have been unimpressed so far. Neither the description nor the photograph makes clear that this uses a mini-XLR connector and as a result I have had to buy an additional component to connect to my XLR cable. The unit comes with a foam mic cushion which is impossible to fit onto the tiny mic head. So far unimpressed - I am hoping the sound is the saviour.
