I've had this thing since September 2023. It is fantastic, the only downside is the USB-C port does not have USB4 or any Thunderbolt specifications. This is generally fine, and other consumers won't run into issues unless you use it for work and they have Thunderbolt docks, etc. However, basic hubs work just fine. Just make sure the hub is 10 Gbps or rated for USB 3.2.

I originally ordered one of these laptops and had it for a couple of days before it wouldn’t turn back on. I sent it back and the return process was pretty easy. I have had the new one for a few months and seems to be working.

On October 29, 2025 I purchased a 17.3 inch HP laptop from Amazon. Loaded software, started setting up. The next day the laptop was dead. Tried everything. Sent it back. Had to change passwords on EVERYTHING and add additional security because that information had already been entered onto the dead computer. Also had to buy new software. On November 13, 2025 I purchased this 15.6" laptop. Worked great. I was very pleased. Until yesterday (March 4, 2026). The laptop will no longer connect to wi-fi, hot spot, etc. I tried several suggested fixes. Still dead. I went to the HP web site for help and was informed that the one year warranty has expired - less than 90 days after I purchased a NEW HP from HP on the Amazon web site. Any guesses why a product a customer was told was brand new with a one year warranty finds out the warranty expired a long time ago? Of course, Amazon's return window already expired. I am so done.

I was nervous about this laptop but wanted the extras that you don’t get in any stores. I spent tons of time looking for the perfect laptop. This one has everything I wanted by way of ports I need and fast processing for working at home. When I first looked at the box I thought it was the wrong computer but the seller put the additions onto it which the seller quickly responded to me when I went to return it. Lots of people complain in the reviews that the box was opened. In order to put the additions onto the laptop they had to open the box. It is resealed at the bottom. I am living the laptop so far. It is working great.

Be sure to charge to 100% before using. Good value for the price.

I bought this laptop for my teenaged son who wanted to play games. Equipped with 32GB RAM and the right Intel processor, I was able to meet most of his needs that doubles up for his school use as well. He loves this HP laptop the most and is hooked on surfing the web and playing games with his classmates at school. I haven't faced any issues with this laptop for well over a year now. The keyboard seems to be sturdy and withstands the rough use. All I had to do was to procure an external keyboard and a mouse as a backup for him to play games. The 15" monitor still falls short so we added an external monitor.
