This is by far the BEST neck pillow I've ever owned! As a chronic pain sufferer, I frequently shop for pillows to provide the right type and amount of support for all of my painful areas. Anyone with chronic pain understands that the shape, size, type and amount of pillow fill, and kind of fabric are all important features to be considered when pillow shopping. The neck is one of those areas with trigger points that takes a lot of stress as I garden, read, do research on the computer, and sleep. Some neck pillows are too soft to offer any support, or overstuffed, pushing the head out and causing headaches and very stiff, painful neck muscles. Of the firmer pillows, most of them do not provide a wide and long enough base of even support for the whole neck, and they slip and shift. The whole neck - from the base of the neck at shoulder level to the base of the skull - needs even, firm, but comfortable support. The fabric needs to be breathable and easy to clean. It must be durable, as a cervical pillow must travel with you from chair to car, on visits and on trips. An attractive color and style are an added bonus. This pillow checks all of these essential boxes. It is firm but comfortable. ✔️ It offers a wide and long enough base of even support for the entire neck, from shoulders to the base of the skull where pain and stiffness and many headaches can occur. ✔️ The fabric is a smooth but crisp durable cotton that is breathable and will not create sweat and moisture. ✔️ The cover is of durable and very attractive material with reinforced seams and a zipper to permit washings. ✔️ The fill is composed of cooling buckwheat which has not gone flat with use over time, even though I use the pillow daily and take it to bed each night. ✔️ The pillow can also be used between the knees for side sleepers or under the knees for back sleepers (I am going to order a second for this purpose.) ✔️ Due to chronic pain and reflux, I sleep in a lounger and need full, no-nonsense support behind my neck and under my knees. I must depend on a quality pillow that will provide the necessary benefits 24/7. No need to waste money on a new cervical pillow every few months because it’s gone flat. I can’t tell you how many I’ve tossed and how many I have at the top of the closet waiting to be used. A good cervical pillow isn’t cheap but the fact that they go flat after a few months use is frustrating. You try fluffing, wash/drying, everything to be that comfortable pillow that it was when it was new. What’s the saying, there’s got to be a better way. Well there is and it’s with this pillow. I was really skeptical of the great description and reviews. It’s small, almost half the length of a regular cervical pillow and about half as pouffy BUT OMGOSH this pillow is WONDERFUL!!! I have 3 bulging discs in my neck and a regular cervical pillow is usually too pouffy at first to sleep thru the night so I learned to sleep on my back (good for fighting wrinkles) without a pillow, This pillow is made of buckwheat however the way the outside case is sewn is a triangle so it fits in the curve of your neck perfectly. It doesn’t place your head so high that your chin is in your chest. It offers firm but comfortable support to your head and neck so you can relax those muscles. The pillow comes with a zippered pillowcase and inside is the zippered case that contains the buckwheat. The manufacturer also includes a small bag of additional buckwheat if you need a firmer pillow or you can remove some of the buckwheat to adjust the pillow for your comfort. This pillow is so comfortable to sleep on that your entire body can finally relax and help you get a restful nights sleep. I would highly recommend this pillow to anyone considering the purchase of a standard cervical pillow. I was not paid for this review, it is my opinion from my personal use of the product.

Things that are applicable to everyone: this pillow seems really well made. The outer cover is soft and feels high quality. There's a well-sewn inner cover that contains the buckwheat hulls. It came with a spare bag of buckwheat hulls, which is a nice touch since buckwheat tends to settle and become less firm once you use it for a while. If you're looking for a buckwheat neck pillow, I have to imagine this would make you happy. If you're looking for alternate uses though ... forget the Boppy and just get one of these. Or rather, I take that back. I'm sure the Boppy is great to help older babies sit up and roll over and hang out and all that, but it's honestly a pretty terrible breastfeeding pillow. The My Breast Friend might be better (it's at least firmer and adjustable), but they're both very large and unwieldy; it's A Whole Process to get them set up just right, and nobody with a baby has the time or arms for that. This pillow is PERFECT for propping up an arm or supporting a baby that's quickly feeling heavy in your arms. The buckwheat is firm so it actually provides support. It's small and easily maneuvered with one hand, so it won't take up half your bed/chair/etc. It's triangular, so it stays where you put it. I ordered this my first day out of the hospital, and my only regret is that I didn't order it sooner so it was waiting at home for me.

This neck roll is comfortable but (for me) gets way too hot to use for any period of time. It is also 'loud' when you move around on the buckwheat hulls.

My neck needs support at night, this is great! It is really well made, larger in length and depth than many. It is easy to find exactly what works for you. It uses cocoanut ‘husks,’ and they’re contained within two zip covers. They do squash down in time, but it comes with a generous pack of spare filler! So I am very happy, I ordered another, as now I find them indispensable.

Love this pillow! Comes with extra buckwheat filling so you can add or remove filling to find the perfect firmness. Cover can be washed. You can use it for neck or even lumbar support. Does not slide around due to its shape. I have other neck pillows too, but I would not want to be without this one!
