I picked up the IDOGEAR Tactical Plates EVA Foam inserts to use in my plate carrier, and they work exactly as described. The foam is firm enough to add structure but still flexible and lightweight. I wear these along with soft bulletproof armor behind them, and they make a great filler layer that helps everything sit properly and comfortably. As a security guard working in a nightclub, I deal with a lot of close-contact situations. These inserts do a surprisingly good job absorbing impact from punches or blunt force, adding an extra cushion without adding extra bulk. They stay in place, don’t shift around, and make the whole carrier feel more balanced.
