Q: Will this work for testing epoxy resin hardness?

Hi, this type A durometer is used to measure the hardness of rubber and plastics. It is applicable to test the penetration medium hardness of rubber, plastic, leather, multi-grease, wax, etc. So it might be not suitable for epoxy resin.

Q: Can i test metals with this?

I highly doubt it! It's for testing density/hardness of tires not metal. You more than likely will get the same reading on all metals. It's intended for rubber!

Q: Can this be used on silicone that is less than 6mm but is attached to 15mm stainless steel?

Hi, it can be used to test the silicone that is attached to 15mm stainless steel, but the minimum thickness of silicone must be at least 5mm.

Q: Can this tester be calibrated?
