Gator GWE-DREAD-12 Hard-Shell Wood Case for Dread/12-String Guitars

Cannot fault this product, it is heavy and strongly built and it feels like my guitar is being well protected. It is large enough to cater for most Dreadnoughts as well as the body of the guitar has plenty room without sliding around inside. It has a small compartment for holding little things like your guitar tuner or spare strings under the neck which is handy and has enough room for my music material to fit underneath the body of the guitar when the case is closed. I mainly travel with it in my car so it maybe a bit heavy for even small journeys unless you have your own transport. I also like the fact that it has metal studs on the bottom so that it can sit upright on its own which makes it easier to store in any type of room without having to lie it down or lean it against something heavy. Looks good as well in case anyone is interested.

Got this for my birthday ive got a 12 string shaftesbury thats been all over the country and now its safe and sound. the case is made really well strong handles and even studds on the bottom so you can put your guitar case down and the cover doesnt get scratched . a good buy

Excellent guitar case, solid and well made. Bought for my son to carry a Hondo 12 string guitar back to New Zealand. Guitar fitted snugly, although we had to put additional packing ( in this case spare clothing) under the neck for additional support. The guitar made the journey undamaged.

This product is great - well made with good materials. I particularly like the material used for the inside. The only downside is that the weight of the case and a 12 string may be too heavy for the handle, which does not seem to be at the centre of the total weight. Otherwise - excellent.

This durable, quality (it's Gator - not surprised by the high quality at all) case arrived well packaged via a friendly DPD driver and fits my Eko Ranger XII 12-string guitar PERFECTLY. One happy guitarist!

Embora seja um pouco pesado (aproximadamente 4 kgs), não diminui a informação importante: protege seu instrumento da forma correta e acompanha cadeado com chave por segurança extra. Downside: qualquer chave que for do mesmo case vai abrir esse cadeado (tenho 2 parecidos).

Der Koffer scheint wie für meine Ashton 12-String gemacht. Sehr sauberer Sitz. Sehr stabil. Vier Klappverschlüsse. Der Koffer ist relativ flach. Innenhöhe: 11,5 cm (Case) + 3 cm (Deckel). ("relativ" bedeutet dabei: Ein anderer Koffer, den ich für eine andere 12-String nutze, hat 13 cm + 2,5 cm.) Dabei ist auch zu beachten, dass im Bereich des Gitarrenbodys eine Handbreit vor dem Hals noch eine zusätzliche ca. 1 cm starke Polsterung die Höhe nochmals verringer; für meine Ashton ideal, da der Gitarrenbody zum Hals hin etwas an Höhe verliert, aber für meine andere 12-String, die eine durchgehend gleichbleibende, auch insgesamt größere Höhe hat, nicht so ganz ideal. Durch die schmale Halsform des Koffers fällt das Innenfach in dem Bereich ebenfalls schmal aus, so dass ein Saitensatz in den marktüblichen Verpackungen nicht flach hineingelegt werden kann, sondern nur schräg/verkantet. Man verschenkt also Platz. (Bei meinem anderen Koffer, der nicht die optisch schöne, aber unpraktische Halsverjüngung zwischen Kopf und Body hat, ist das nicht so; da liegen alle Saitensätze flach.) Die Verklebung des Außenmaterials ist an den Kanten nicht so ganz 100%-ig. Innenlänge gemessen: 111 cm. Innenbreite 42 / 32 cm. Wie gesagt: Für mich bzw. meine Ashton ist der Koffer von der Passform ideal. Wegen des schmalen Innenfachs (schmale Halsform) und der Verklebung würde ich einen halben Stern abziehen, wenn das ginge. So aber bleibt es bei wohlwollenden 5 Sternen.
