Good pens at great price
I love parker fountain pens and Amazon is the cheapest place by far I have seen them

Best one i've tried so far :)
I've been using this pen for around a month now for university notes. I like the feel of the pen itself, not too heavy but not so light it feels cheap. The ink is pretty smooth, on some paper the ink is a little too thin and the pen can look a little patchy/streaky or bleed a bit but it really does depend on the surface of the paper you're working on. Looks like its easy to replace the cartridges so that shouldn't be an issue. If you get the angle right, i find the pen very smooth and really nice to use but if you hold it slightly wrong it is quite scratchy, i wouldn't let that put you off as you quite quickly learn how to hold it properly or whichever way suits your style best. No leaks so far and everything still feels safely secured. Only negative so far is that you cant really use it with the cap on the end so i've had a couple panics over loosing the cap, thankfully ive found it everytime so far!

Put through its paces
Had the pen for over a year now and still writes perfectly smooth. It has been put through its paces with nearly a whole 20 cartridges through it and the ink flow is still consistent. I left it in my pocket and the thread snapped for the nib to screw into but it's still very much usable. The ink does smudge slightly but only if you write quickly (using parker branded quink cartridges). It feels light and responsive in the hand, isnt too big and is just overall nice to hold.

Brilliant pen
What can I say about this Parker? For starters, it writes brilliantly (medium nib). Secondly, it's quite a robust little thing, unless you step on it. Above all: it's a proper fountain pen, that does the job as well as anything above £500. You DO NOT have to spend silly money on a good fountain pen. That is total and utter poppycock. All these articles about "What is a good beginner fountain pen?"... total rubbish... there is no such thing as a beginner fountain pen. (Calligraphy pens are a different matter. But they're for art... not everyday writing.) Don't get me wrong, there are good and bad pens. But the Parker is GOOD. I have written thousands of pages with one of these pens and it has NEVER let me down. I have also written with expensive pens (can't reveal which, as this review is not about them) and they were absolutely no better. Some advice: if you don't want to spend the extortionate prices Parker charge for refills, do what I've been doing for about 20 years - refill your used cartridge from an ink bottle with a medical syringe. Easy and cheap.

Great pen
Great pen. Parker is a great brand and it is perfect for people who are looking for a gift that looks great and endures. It is durable and does not stop flow once when you are writing. It has a classic metal grip that offers good grip and comfort.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be
I wanted to get writing more, I bought this pen based on nostalgia as this was THE fancy pen to have when I was at school and 6th form, but sadly as is always the case with nostalgia, things are never as good second time around. The pen looks fine and works ok, though it's a bit scratchy and dry if I stop writing for a minute or so. Doesn't feel a very flowing ink. It's not as smooth as I remember when I used to write pages and pages in cursive, but maybe that's me? It's also very short in length - the lid doesn't stay on the top when you're using the pen, so if you have to take that off and use the pen with an adult's sized hand, it feels small and I find I can't hold it at the right angle as a result. I made the mistake of buying a load of cartridges with it at the same time (as the pen comes with blue not black cartridge) so I guess I'm stuck with it as they can't be used with a different brand. Disappointing

Awesome. My kid expressed an interest in fountain pens after writing excessive notes for school. She wanted to write fast so had borrowed my old fountain pen. I bought her this as it was my first ever pen 40 years ago. It’s perfect! In fact I also bought one for myself. It’s smooth as I remember and can mold to your writing slant, unlike other expensive ones, which I find more difficult to adjust to my penmanship.
