Legitimately great
Such a good pedal, I used it as a preamp running into a pa type amp and it sounds great. I was bummed that it didn't have a second channel, something a lot of these preamp pedals have, but since it is so cheap I literally just bought another one. One dialled for a nice toasty warm Fendery type clean and the other dialled for a punchy Marshall type growl. I put them next to each other and by stomping on both you can insta switch channels. My only beef is that the 9v socket is so close to the input jack that my pancake patch cables don't really fit. But I just used other cables? Not knocking a star off for that, insane value, if you are curious just get it, best £25 buy out there I reckon, lots of great sounds inside it and lots of fun dialling in all kinds of different vibes. It's a bit noisy at high gain so get a noise gate if you don't already have one, but you should already have one.

Pedal power
Extremely good value. Like the look and the sound of the pedal. One small gripe, power pack connection should be on the front, not the side.

Bargain price & handy little pedal
A bargain price for a good quality, well made modelling amp pedal. It is surprisingly heavy & is made out of strong plastic material. I tried powering it by battery, but this uses a lot of power & it does not operate when the battery is low. I use it with a mains adaptor & this is a lot better. Depending where the pedal is placed, there can be a lot of interference noise, so it has to be placed away from other powered objects such as an amplifier. It is also a lot better using shielded cables, it makes a big difference to the amount of interference. There are a large amount of sounds that can be obtained from this pedal, from clear tones to heavily distorted. It is good fun playing about with the settings on the pedal & tone controls on the guitar to see what sounds can be made. It works best on the clean channel on an amplifier & using the pedal controls to get the desired effect. A handy little gadget that makes a good variety of sounds.

A really feisty unit.
This is a really good pedal. The mic. positions make a real difference to the tone, as do the amp models and amp types. It will give a really nice warm clean tone on 'Tweed' with 'clean' on the MOD button and 'classic' on the MIC button. The drive is really powerful - be careful not to turn it and the LEVEL up high when you first connect to a DAW. Only two slight issues - it is slightly noisy with the LEVEL and DRIVE knobs past 10 o'clock and the buttons which switch between the various modes make quite a clunking sound as you change them. Overall, remarkably good for £20.

Value for money
Behringer's clone of the Sansamp GT-2. Basically 3 amps in a box. I bought as a back up to any amp failure during a gig. Fortunately, I haven't needed it for that purpose. At home it definitely makes a nasty sounding practice amp sound better. I have found only the tweed setting with the drive dialled out to be usable. It does sound pretty good tbh, and worth the £20 I spent on it. The other two amp settings, brit & California, aim to emulate the Marshall and Mesa Boogie tones but sound more like a box of bees to me. With patient tweaking I'm sure they too could be usable, just not for me. The clean Fender Tweed setting is fine for my purposes. The pedal is also a bit noisy, with a noticeable hiss when engaged. Add in some gain pedals and a noise suppressor may be required. Listen, for the price, you can't go far wrong. Could be handy for a beginner as could improve the overall sound of any solid state practice amp. It does a decent job of sounding like a valve/tube amp under the right circumstances. This pedal is of the same build quality as all other Behringer pedals. Tough plastic casing, pots and inputs mounted to the circuit board etc. The casing feels durable and I've yet to see proof that one has fell apart from being stepped on lol. The mounted pots and inputs would be more of a concern. I'm just careful with them and that, hopefully, sound help with their long term reliability. This pedal didn't exactly blow me away but at £20 each, they are worth investigating.

Tube Amp on steroids!
Works better than my £180 Lone Wolf Harp Attack Pedal! Tube amp on steroids!

Good sounding pedal when it works.
This is a good sounding pedal when it works. I had mine for about 6 months before there was a constant static hiss and a very loud noise coming from the pedal making it unusable. This was even without any input noise. I do understand gain structure and this was not the case here. Of course this is a budget pedal. If you are only having fun or looking for a way to test out an ampless set up for few months this is great. However, for the small amount of money it is it is not reliable for any professional use for a longer time. Mine dies after about 6-8months.

Bargain clean valve sounds... it can't do distortion though.
I bought this because I play mainly through a valve amp but I have a solid state practice combo which I didn't like the sound of. So, I thought this may be a cost effective way of upgrading my practice amp without replacing it. Once twiddled with, the tweed clean setting is remarkably good. Making my little H&K a lot sweeter. It could actually pass for a valve amp (but maybe not a tweed Fender!) However, after an hour or so of playing with the other settings I couldn't get any of the distortion options to sound anything other than digitized. It may sound ridiculous but despite 90% of it's options being unusable I'm very happy with my purchase. I now have a solid state practice amp that sounds like it has valves in it when using a clean setting. And for less than £20, I think that's a bargain!

Behringer gives really great sounds for the low price. This pedal gives a total of 27 different tube amp sounds of 3 main amps 1)Tweed (Fender Twin Reverb) 2) Brit 3) Cali It has many other tube modellers which alters the way you want the sound as If you want a low output consider getting a noise gate with it as I paired with a 40W bass amp (gives a really great sound tbh) the output volume is quite high even at 10% so consider getting a noise gate if you have a medium wattage amp and don’t want to disturb the house. Overall I’d give a 4.5/5 for this pedal. It’s true that Boss gives a better sound but if you have a budget concern and want to get a great tone out of it this is the pedal. PS I run this through a Squier Affinity strat hooked up to a Stranger PM40 bass amp(mostly I play bass) and it gives me a great tone.

Great sounding pedal. There is nothing with behringer pedals. I have several of them and all work well and sound great. Some complain about it being made of plastic material but that's one of the reasons to help keep cost down. I have the chorus pedal for years and never had an issue with it. Will buy more behringer pedals when needed for sure.

Great bang for the buck clone of a Tech 21 GT-2. This pedal does not have the build quality of the GT-2 but the controls are identical and it sounds darn good (especially for the pocket change they charge). I have not done a gut-shot comparison of the two pedals so I can not comment on how close the actual circuits and components are. The TM300 is more than just a distortion box. It's more like a preamp. I find that it does a very convincing mid scooped Twin type of clean as well as a decent Marshall type growl. I find the Mesa to be the least authentic though it is not an unpleasant distortion by any means- it just doesn't sound like a Mesa imho. If you are looking for triple rec distortion there are probably better dirt boxes for that. I actually have the same criticism of my Tech 21 Tri-AC (really excellent pedal!) The TM300 works well running into an amp and because it can simulate a mic'd cab it can also be run directly into a PA or mixer and bypass the amp completely. This thing actually takes other pedals reasonably well. It can really breath new life into a mediocre practice amp (or any solid state). It can also be stowed in a bag easily enough so that you don't have to lug a backup amp to gigs. I find it much more realistic sounding than digital modelers but it doesn't quite 100% replicate the sound and touch sensativity of a tube amp being pushed (they haven't invented that yet in my opinion). It doesn't replace a tube amp for me personally but if you are contemplating running straight into the PA because lugging your amp is impractical this is a no-brainer. Five stars for what it does at this price. If you are a hobbyist or weekend warrior this pedal will cover the bases. If you make your living doing live performances (or if price is not factored into your decision making) I would advise you to pony up the extra money for the Tech 21 product because their overall build quality is much higher (with regards to the enclosure, switch, knobs, jacks), their customer service is top-shelf and they are engineered/manufactured right in NYC. I own three Tech 21 pedals and previously owned their Trademark 60 amp and I can attest to the difference in overall build quality between their products and Behringer's. Sound-wise they are very very similar though and I DO have much love for these inexpensive Behringer pedals. I own close to a dozen of them and I have not encountered a single malfunction in more than 2 years.

Works great sounds amazing I prefer metal casings but we will see how the plastic casing holds up I am not hard on my pedals so should hold up well
