Q: How are these oils compared to Olbas?

I have never trien Olbas,however, I have used these for 20+ years and they are by far and away the best I have ever used.

Q: Can it be mixed with carrier oil and applied to skin instead of using in bath?

I would say "no." These are not straight essential oils and there is a very slight foaming action when you add to your bath. I would not think that you would want the surfactant (or whatever) directly on your skin. That being said, I love these oils for baths and I do know that they make a few formulations in massage oils, including the arnica.

I have the 10 piece herbal oil bath set. There are added ingredients and colors.
