Dump the bag and loosen up!
A simple yet effective device. If you like loose leaf tea but don't want the hassle of teapots and strainers then this is ideal. I bought the 500ml size which is perfect for one person. As it's a transparent jug you can see exactly when you've brewed for long enough and the valve release mechanism hasn't failed after a month's daily use but has remained drip free as soon as I lift it off my mug. Easy to clean afterwards as well which is another reason for buying. I now have a delicious mug of perfectly brewed Assam tea every morning without the paraphernalia and guesswork.

Quick way to make great loose-leaf tea
I've often been a traditionalist when it comes to loose-leaf tea: a teapot is the way to go. But, I saw one of these devices in use in an episode of 'The Walking Dead' and i was intrigued enough to look for one online. It turns out there are several brands to choose from but they all seem basically the same. Vasy to use: Open the lid, put the desired amount of loose tea directly into the bottom of the pot, add hot/boiling water, close lid, watch for desired depth of colour for strength, place pot over mouth of cup. If your cup is smaller than the pot capacity (c.500ml in this case) then you'll have to lift the pot off to stop the tea flow. But if the amount of tea you've made is less than it will stop by itself. There is little or no drip when you lift the pot off, but a small plastic base is provided as a stand, and cleaning is easy. I tap out most of the soaked leaves into a bin and then rinse the rest out with water, pouring it over a piece of paper towel or a small strainer to capture the remaining leaves, rather than let them clog the drain. It's at least as easy, if not easier than cleaning out an infuser basket. I have been very pleased with the taste of the tea from this machine. i've detected zero plastic taint from the BPA-free pot. Overall, I've found myself going straight for this rather than my teapot now, so that must be good.

What a great gadget and buy!
I started out looking for a cheap tea strainer due to buying boxes of flavoured teas that inevitably had at least one bag that let the tea leaves through and into my mug. However, as soon as I saw this great item, I thought this would be an even better solution and I am so glad I bought it. It does exactly what it says and means that I have enough capacity in it to enjoy two cups (250ml approx each) of my favourite night-time brew. There has been no leaking at all and it keeps my second cup nice and warm until I'm ready to drink it. As an avid tea drinker, this is going to be invaluable and I highly recommend it. Ordered one evening from Amazon and it was here the next day. Very, very impressed with both the item and the super fast delivery.

Good simple solution for a nice cup of tea
Very good. The leaf and water are in the same volume and when the cup is filled the water passes through the leaf that is settled at the bottom of the container. Purchasers should be aware that the capacity is nearer 400ml than 500ml.

Good quality
Bought for a friend. A similar one was used at a cafe we visited and she was impressed. I have one from T2 but unfortunately unable to buy her the same one. She has been happy with this and found it easy to use.

Buy this, or make inferior tea. The choice is yours
I've first bought this style of tea maker on a trip to Taiwan when you couldn't find them in the UK/ Now you can get them everywhere. For good reason. This style of brewing is one of the few ways to make a proper cup of tea, with the minimum of fuss and mess. Those glass pots with the tea in the middle? Useless. Those fill your own tea bags? Don't work. To make a good pot of tea you have to have boiling water directly poured onto free moving tea leaves. I tend to use the 'pour it into a cup, back in the brewer, pour it out again method' because I'm too lazy to find a tea spoon. Plus I have this fanciful notion that aerating the tea makes it taste better. This particular model is good for tea monsters. You get two decent sized cups out of it, or a big mug and half. When I've drunk it I often just chuck a few more leaves on top of the already brewed ones and top it up with more boiling water. Cleaning is a tad annoying. I tend to bang out as much of the wet leaves into the recycling as I can, leaving the remainder in the pot. They dry out over night, leaving the pot leaf free.

Excellent product
I was initially wary due to the higher price than other comparable products, however this infuser has proved exceptional in both product quality and functionality. I can confirm non drip and the filter system is excellent, cleaning is also very simple. Thoroughly recommended!

Poor design aspects
Having owned other brands of this type of tea over cup infuser, I found these things strictly worse: * It's less stable than other models, and has had occasion to be tipped over more easily. (pic balancing on it's base) * The activation plate that drains your tea into your mug has no outer shroud like other brands which means it can leak out if you happen to put it down in the wrong place. (pic put down too close to it's base) * It's not entirely easy to re-locate it correctly in it's base as it's rimmed and raised, vs other models that are simple flat coaster types. * The lid is non-removable for cleaning purposes * The filter is non removable for cleaning * Usually higher priced than other brands I can't recommend it, and would suggest you try other brands. In my experience, I have a T2 Teamaker (lid may not stay up on it's own), and a IngenuiTEA Loose Tea Infuser, both of which seem better designed. Other brands are available.

Works great and worth the price. I’ve had this product for two weeks and haven’t looked back. I like this product because you can make tea or coffee in it. I don’t suggest fine powders to strain because they get in the holes apart from that 5stars.
