Q: Does it have to be used over gel polish or can i use regular polish?

no matter you used over gel polish or regular polish, if you want chrome mermaid efect, you must apply "no wipe top coat" over gel polish or regular polish. i hope you can understand my words. if any question feel free to email us. different base color, different effect, only ypu must own no wipe top coat. if you only have regular polish, so it is matte effect. not chrome mermaid effect as picture.

Q: Would it look shinny and pink if I used pink underneath instead of white.. same question for all colors?

Yes, it will look almost like an orange Iridescent look with pink base. Color will changes depending on what color you use underneath as your base color. Best to try it with a sandy nude color base on the bottom. It’s so beautiful.
