Is the substrate (lechuza pon) meant to sit in the cup shaped recesses on a cubico 40? mine has filled those so the substrate isn't that deep.

Hello. The substrate provided is enough to create a drainage layer in the base of the planter. This sealed packed provided is the perfect amount of starter PON needed for your first plant install. If you need to make the drainage layer higher, you will need to purchase another small bag of PON which are supplied in 3, 6, 12, 18 ltrs bags. Please send us an image and we will verify that all is ok with your planters assembly for first time use.
