Hamilton Khaki King
Having spent ages reading reviews and watching YouTube videos I finally took the plunge and got the Khaki King. This was after a long time making up my mind between this and the normal 38mm Khaki. I do not regret my decision. I'm delighted with the watch. It keeps good time, fits well and looks good. It oozes quality. It's my first Hamilton and I would recommend. Usual excellent service and good price from Amazon.

Wow, this watch is so beautiful, so accurate, 80hr power reserve, easy to read, swiss made, sapphire. Another 50m of water resistant will make this watch perfect

Quality watch, but small
A quality timepiece, but I had to return it as it was too small for my wrist.

Classic field watch hits the budget mark
Classic swiss field watch, not so keen on strap so replaced with black leather and then experimented with a James bond nato from watchgecko. Very light and wears great on the wrist which is nice. I love the day/date detailing. Only negative is could do with better anti reflect coating. Overall, I've actually taken this to my daily office wear as I've grown more in awe of it.

This has to be THE BEST value for money Swiss made watch available at the ...
Long live the King! Hamilton have updated the ETA movement to the ETA H40 Powermatic 80 movement an update to the previous ETA movement, ETA and Hamilton both being part of the Swatch group making this possible. So instead of the standard 40+ hours power reserve this Hamilton Khaki King 2 now comes with a handy 80+ hour power reserve. The movement is extremely precise and is set in the factory by means of a lazer to regulate the watch movement. However this means the movement cannot be regulated by a regular watchmaker or even yourself as it will need to be sent back to Hamilton because of the special tools needed to do so.I have had this watch for over a month now and it consistently gains 6 seconds a day, very acceptable at this price for an automatic watch. This has to be THE BEST value for money Swiss made watch available at the moment.Highly recommended.

Superb
I’m a big fan of Hamilton and I own numerous different models. I’ve always wanted the Khaki King and it does not disappoint. Great size on the wrist and looks great. Looks great on either the leather, a NATO or a bracelet. I think it’s a very versatile piece. Keeps cracking time as to be expected.

So here's the thing, I've never spent this much money on a watch. Matter of fact, I've always been someone who finds it to be silly to spend that kind of money on something like this. But I did so for several reasons and I'm going to share some of that with you so that maybe you will be able to explore some of these motivations within yourself. My hope is that buyers can understand when the expenditure makes sense and when they are just chasing status. I knew I wanted to buy something with a bit more of a price tag, which is a terrible reason by itself to buy a watch. It was between something like this or a really nice Asian Rolex superclone. I like auto watches but they are standardly nowhere near as accurate as literally every other style of watch on the market so I knew I would be trading accuracy for style. The question would be, is it worth it? Prior to this purchase, I own 5 watches; two Relics (one dress quartz, one dress automatic), a G-shock Rangeman, a Pobeda mechanical and a Monty Python novelty quartz watch, all of which I love. I shop watches incessantly and I knew I didn't need another one. But I kept circling back to this Hamilton. I always liked the anesthetic of the field watch and the Day/date complication on this one was really sharp to me. I also love the historical aspect (hence, the Pobeda) and I really liked the prospect of buying something nice with the WWII pedigree, even if it wasn't an antique piece in and of itself. As such, I wrote off the Rolex clone, not because I'm afraid to admit to wearing a fake Rolex (I actually looked forward to using it as a conversation starter to have gripe sessions with others about the prices of luxury watches) but because I decided I wanted to spend the money on something I could count on. Hamilton's Amazon store allows for returns and it's an established brand. The reviews aren't spectacular but in all fairness, reviews on watches are pretty spotty across the board on every watch you look at online so I take it with a grain of salt. As for the watch itself, it arrived with spectacular packaging, nice and protected. The dial is simple and elegant, especially for what is supposed to be a tool watch. The stainless finish on the bezel is basic but really nice and smooth. The watch is fully functional and remarkably accurate! I'm understanding some of the complaints about the Leather Strap it comes with as I have a large wrist and the strap arrives kind of stiff and unforgiving. But I resolved to give the strap a fair shot and I have to say that after a week and a half or so of daily wear, it's FINALLY STARTING to break in (a little bit). I'm enjoying checking the time on it and I find myself looking down at it even when I already know the time. I don't know if ANY watch is worth what I've spent on this one, but that's not Hamilton's fault or anyone else's for that matter. I made the decision and the important thing to remember is that I'm happy with that decision. I like the Swiss movement, I like the look of the strap, I like the historical pedigree and I like that when I die, I'll be leaving something valuable to my daughter. Happy with this purchase for many reasons. And yes, it's a really good watch that keeps sharp, accurate time!

This is a great watch! Bueatiful as it is on the post. The leather strap is of high quality. It fits rather leassure or formal dresses. So far, it goes accurately. Love Hamilton.

Davvero davvero ben fatto. Consigliato
