Is there a piece of elastic inside this Elvis wig that holds the wig stuck to your head so it doesn't slide off?

Hi. Yes there is a elastic band to keep it in place. It also comes with a haircut which I recommend to keep on, you can hardly notice this. I wore this for a good six hours and it was fine....unraveling in the end but served it's purpose.

Would this fit a child

Very much depends on the age and size of the child. Its not small, I have a size 58 head and ot fits fine. It is made with elastic so will fit smaller or larger. If I had to call it I'd say no good for small children.

Can you brush it back into a pompadour and can you gel it?

Not sure it would take a lot of brushing tbh. You could probably get away a bit of hairspray if needed but gel would be too much in my opinion.
