Excellent Wireless HD Sender that actually works
Firstly, I must say that I am a big fan of British made hi-fi equipment such as Arcam and Cambridge Audio. Intelligent, considered, common sense, understated design that actually works without all the hype and 'bells and whistles'. Well, this product is similar. It is a high quality product whereas most of the other senders I have used look 'cheap and nasty'. A considerable amount of thought has gone into the design. The inclusion of brushed-aluminium stands adds to the look of quality. However, most important of all, it works as stated. 1080p HD on a remote HDTV through thick concrete walls in our Hong Kong home. Even the designs of the TV remote sender and receiver look good and unobtrusive. Cleverly includes HDMI pass-through on transmitter and mounting brackets for walls. Set up was very easy. There are no issues with shielding or interference which was always a problem with antenna-type units in our home. The only point-of-design I would criticise is the overly bright blue LED indicating wireless connectivity; it is far too bright in a darkened bedroom. Of course, you could just stick black insulation tape over it but that would cheapen the look. Overall, a great product that I've been waiting to find for a very long time. Item intelligently re-packaged by retailer to minimise shipping costs. If you're in the market for a wireless HD sender that actually works, look no further!

A wireless HDMI sender that works !
Most wireless HDMI senders do not work, I've been through a few. Broadly speaking there are two technologies , one operating at 5ghz and one operating at 60 ghz. The 5ghz type don't actually have the bandwidth for unmolested HDMI and as such are usually full of artefacts and unwatchable. The 60ghz type are so directional that you need unbroken line of sight for them to operate and even a housefly can interrupt service. This one is a 5ghz model , but adding something new to the tech in terms of compression technologies, so I thought I,d give it a shot, fully expecting to be sending it back. Well, I,m keeping it , it works very well indeed. It is of course not totally unmolested HDMI output, but you really do have to pixel peep with this model to see the artefacts. I have this actually sitting inside an AV cabinet , and it's broadcasting through that despite the other equipment , and through a solid concrete wall to another TV and is a perfectly acceptable 1080p picture. This is the very first HD sender I've seen that works to an acceptable standard and I would recommend it if like me , you have a need for it and wiring is not an option. Update 12/01/2014 Ive had to update this review ,downgrading from a 4 star to a 1 star review , the unit worked as above until last wednesday , then stopped. The Transmitter died. It now shows a faint blue light and a faint orange light where the green used to be , and is completely dead , including passthrough. Because the unit died I have to use my Humax 1000s without it , and immediately noticed that the EPG Guide for the humax works a lot smoother now that this unit is not in the chain , so the passthrough output seems to have been compromising quality in any case. So , back to the position I stated at the start of the review , there are no Wireless HDMI senders that work to an acceptable level of quality. Wired is the best , and only option. Note that this was the only sender I have kept for this long , all the others , and there were a lot , being unacceptable out of the box , so this unit was the best of a bad bunch. Its also raised in price by 50% since I bought it , something that is definitely unwarranted!!

Was a fantastic bit of kit but no more
First a plug for Provision and the vendor Buy24. I had a problem with the kit to begin with and both the seller and Provision helped me until it was sorted. I am really impressed by the service and support that both gave and cannot rate them highly enough. You have to make sure that all the hdmi leads are fully pushed in - in my case the hdmi lead on the receving unit came slightly adrift when I moved it to try out another location and I partially lost the signal. What I could not understand was that the receving TV was showing that it was getting a signal and that the sending unit had stopped transmitting. After much scratching of heads, I reattached all the leads again and the system worked again. In my case the signal is picked up after going through two very thick (18 inches) external brick walls. Not surprisingly the signal degridation is signficiant but the picture on the receiving TV is still acceptable. This unit is not the cheapest on offer but it works and is well worth the money. Update in July 2015: I started to get severe signal degredation about two months ago with the sound becoming jerky and blocking (if that is the right description) of the picture. It is so bad that I cannot watch the receiving TV. I have been in contact with Provision but they have ignored my request for help - so unlike the service that I have had in the past. I can get a clear signal if I turn both the sender and receiver off at the mains for about five minutes and then turn them back on so I am continuing to use them but what a disappointment and a bore. I tried rearranging the two units so that they connect over around 60 feet but with a clear line of sight. The receiving unit's picture and sound are still not good enough to watch unless you reboot the units each time you use them. I shall continue to try to get help from Provision as the units did work well and the quality of the signal on the receiving unit is, in theory, strong enough. If I make progress, I shall let you know.
