I borrowed the previous HCSB version from a local church library and checked the difference in the translations and I like it so far. The footnotes, comments and explanation are great, they really help to understand it better and have more context. I also love the design, which makes it easy to read. 100% recommended.

This is a Christmas gift so no review of contents here but looks so interesting! However, I bought a new book which was imperfect as there was a small tear in the dust jacket which as it is a gift is very disappointing. I paid full price too. Clearly not packed well. You dropped the ball Amazon

I usually read through the Bible every year. For some reason this year, I'm already on my third time through... and without even trying. I think the reason is that I have decided to read different versions. And that has made the read even more enjoyable and provided better understanding. At the moment I am reading the Apologetics. I have already purchased the Chronological version and after that the cultural one. This Apologetics version opens new topics to me. It has various authors adding their insights of the world around me and what it asks as I read through various passages. I didn't know there were so many questions being asked. It's nice to see some good answers... to questions I never thought of. I have to say that although I don't agree with all of the authors, I do like reading some of the thoughts and facts that are presented. Several times I have just read something by one of the Apologists and I encounter that very thing in my daily life. Glad I bought it.

4 sheets came stuck together, making it impossible to read 4 pages. Otherwise a great bible.

I absolutely love this study bible, has great articles, explanations that help you understand certain scriptures better. As regarding the quality of the bible it self (physically). I think it's pretty good. It's a big bible and I don't expect it to be anyone's everyday carry bible...not if you want it to last, from experience, hard cover bibles are easily ripped when you put too much strain on it. Quality however is great! Print is good size! Pages are easy to flip without fear of ripping. P.S: There's a lot of interesting things on the back!
