Simple, effective, fiddly
When I bought this I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. I'm happy to say it has actually surpassed my expectations, but that's not to say there aren't some negatives about it.Firstly, I bought this because my rented house has old double-glazed windows that basically aren't double glazed. Despite running a dehumidifier to the point where the air was as dry as a desert, and the wife and I would wake up feeling hungover we were so dried out during the night, the windows were still covered in condensation. And with condensation comes black mould. So I bought this. To be honest I felt cheated when I got it. It is just a sheet of thin plastic and some double sided tape. So not worth the money, right? And then there was the putting it up. Having to find floorspace enough to cut a window shaped size, while the cat bounds around on her new crunchy crispy playground that you (obviously) have bought just for her was a pain in behi d to say the least.Depending on how big your window(s) is/are you're probably going to need a hand putting it up. Sometimes the plastic sheet hits the exposed tape before it's meant to causing rucks etc. Most of these you can sort out with a hairdryer, but some you can't. There isn't a worse feeling than fecking around with all this only to find a huge crease along your window pane that won't go away. Finally, it's up. You take the hairdryer to it and eventually you cant even see that it's there. Not only has it stopped ANY condensation forming on my windows, it has also made my house much warmer. Win!I've actually placed it to just above the window handle meaning I can still open and close my windows, and therefore I leave it on during summer. I've had the current set on for about a year.Just beware, you forget it's there. So you go to peek out the window at something going on outside only to bump your face against the new invisible forcefield before the glass. Doesn't hurt, but can break the sheeting.Overall then this is the most effective, simple, yet fiddly solution I can imagine. For the results I've had I'd say this is as cheap as chips. However, if I'm basing it on what you're actually paying for then I'd say this is overpriced. But since it's not going to break the bank, if in doubt I'd say go for it. I will definitely get it again if needed.

Pretty decent, but...
Not too bad these. However, make sure to have plenty of ''space'' around the frame for the tape.Example: If there's not enough space anywhere on the frame for the tape. Then you can't lay the layer of film on correctly. Thus defeating the whole purpose. The bottom of my window frame in the bathroom for example was hidden behind the wooden plinth so could not get the tape on where it needed to be. (Could only stick directly to the glass for the bottom part) So could not create the ''double glazing effect'' needed for a proper seal. But if you don't have this problem then they actually work quite well. And will be pretty clear and unnoticeable once the layer of film is blow dried.(Be careful not to blow too close for long as will burn through)Also can be messy cutting and laying on the plastic film.Leave about 5 to 10CM excess each side for any errors which can then be cut away later.Although it does help with condensation problems if installed correctly and increases the temperature overall. As long as you're somewhat handy with DIY then it's not the worst job to do.But not the easiest either just so you're aware...

Sortedmy north-facing box room mould problem
Used in a box room thats North facing and seafacing with a wooden window frame and lots of cold, damp and windy weather to deal with. Had a mold problem, not really bad, just in the corner above an air vent that creeps along the ceiling above the window frame and along the bottom of the wooden window frame and cill, not the worst but looked grotty and needed addressing, all the mould sprays etc performed a very temporary fix and I thought this was worth a go, measured the window, cut the film and sticky strips, the film is completely clear (so you can't see it from outside) then followed the instructions, which were straightforward. This was a complete success, the room is noticeablely warmer, mold has stopped completely, it just didn't come back and we've seen some seriously bad weather this year. I keep going into the room and checking but it's bone dry and no mould. I've been able to completely clean and repaint everything and it's all stayed mould free. For the price and the ease of installation, it's very very impressive.

Failed within 48hours, no easy way to 'return' in order to get refunded once installed
Failed within 48 hours of installing, tape is not strong enough, film pulled away from tape corner by corner rendering air gaps and therefore useless. The return process is difficult in this circumstance as there isn't an option under 'defective' which does not include having to 'return' the item (which is already installed) Amazons advice is to contact the manufacturer...Would not recommend. UPDATE - we requested a refund via Amazon and returned the box with a note inside explaining there was no way of returning this product as it failed after installed see photos, we have now been charged for a defective and non-returnable product.

Looks ok, but doesn't work that good
I decided to try it as my windows got really cold in the cold weather that we had last week and the condensation in the morning was awful. It took quite some time to install it properly, but it turned out really good. The whole foil is evenly stretched and you can barely see it, and you can still open the windows, so I was happy with it. Until I noticed that the condensation is still somehow getting in there.. and because it is behind the foil unfortunately I need to take it off to wipe it out. So, in the end, it was a waste of the money and time spent on sticking it on.

Works 100% how it promised
I have single glass on all windows. Putting second layer on window frame makes air isolation, what works great with warming flat up... but it MUST be air between glass and foil to make it work!If you will put foil carefully, it look pretty fine... but let's face it - it's just cheap foil and a bit of tape. Efect will be always visible worse than double glass.
