Can this be used all year round for the septic tank?

Hello Sally, Yes our product works all year round, however what is most important is it works in winter when the elements/weather and the organic loading puts most stress on septic systems. Bacteria normally only grow effectively and digest the waste at a temperature of over 10-12°C, so in winter the processing of the organic waste slows down. Plus during winter we stay in more and eat more starchy/carbohydrate rich foods, therefore we increase the load on the septic tank. Our product is unique as it has patented bacteria that work as low as 4°C so the septic system can still function normally and process the increased waste stream volume.

Can this product be used in a sump that receives a lot grey water including kitchen and dishwasher?

Yes, kitchen and dishwasher water will contain food particles and also Fats, oils and greases and Envii Septic Klear has specific bacteria which are active against these organic materials, as they are commonly found in a septic tank.

Will this tablet work in any size septic tank?

We recommend it for tanks with a capacity up to 6,000 litres/1,500 gallons. We have a large number of bacteria in the product so it will cover larger tanks and if your tank is smaller then still use the single tablet as the extra bacteria will break down the waste quicker and reduce the potential of having to have the tank pumped out due to the smaller physical capacity. We recommend a dose rate of 1 tablet per month. If you have an issue due to accidental spillage of chemical/sanitiser into your tank use 2-3 tablets to re-establish the bacterial colonies quickly.

Updated answer, look at the photo in the listing of the back of the pack, it refers to one tablet in ‘a connected loo’ so I’m probably doing overkill using 2 (one in each) hope this helps

Solved our septic tank whiffs, brilliant!

We disccovered this item when our septic tank got out of balance and became a bit whiffy (drain smells coming back throught the plug holes, etc). The reviews convinced us to try them.Amazon quickly despatched them and within a couple of hours after their arrival, things were starting to smell much better. We use a tablet in each one of our four toilets on the first day of every month, and we've not had a problem ever since; just put one in the bowl and let it disolve for 5 to 10 minutes then flush.Two years later, we're still using them and very happy!

Pretty good.

Most people whose plumbing is not connected to mains sewers know that septic tanks can be problematic. This product is as good as other more expensive versions I have used to alleviate odours and keep the tank clear and is thus good value. None of these bio- additives work perfectly but this one is pretty good.
