Oh no! They say he's got to grow. Grow grow Godzilla!
Got this for my son's birthday this past January. He has yet to show any interest in it. Might have to light a little fire under his butt. I'm ready to see it grow!

Doh
This chiapet is a lot of fun, but the seeds don’t stick to the sides of the planter well. The bottom tends to wash off.

Would buy again
My son enjoyed this! Can use for decoration in kids room after you’re done with chia!

Short term fun!
I really want to give this 5 stars for the theme alone. This is AMAZING! We used it as a countdown to our Universal vacation! When Home disappears its time for vacay! The application was a struggle and parts f it didn't grow at all (I think it just wasn't possible to get all parts adequate water). Very messy but good for short term fun!

Great for the meme connoiseur with a green thumb!
Confession: I've never been a Chia pet guy; they always came across as little more than tacky novelty gifts to me. But I'll admit, when fused with a Simpsons meme I'm particularly fond of, I finally pulled the trigger, and I'm glad I did! It's a funny concept that gets compliments every time I have friends over. The only gripe I can make is that the paint job on Homer is a little rough around the edges, but it's not particularly noticeable and I suppose you could repaint it if you wanted. Also, I will caution you that starting watering too soon will make your Chia seeds fall off! The instructions say two days, but I recommend about three to allow them to dry completely before you initiate the growing process. Additionally, keep it near a place with good air flow because mold loves to get its nasty little spores on Chia plants. Follow these tips, and you'll have a brilliant recreation of everyone's favorite "leaving the party when no one's looking" meme!
