Super little drill pump - worth every penny
Super little drill pump - worth every penny. Metal housing, self-priming (up to 30 seconds running dry) AND includes a parts list with actual part numbers. Made in the EU and only little bit more expensive than the all plethora of all plastic options that abound. Used it to empty a water meter chamber - job done in a 60 seconds. Definitely recommended.

Heating oil transfer
Great pump used for transferring heating oil from one tank to another, best to anchor it to something first, I used a plank of wood for stability and it worked faultlessly. Just make sure you have the right fittings for your hoses! Just attaches to your drill and away you go.

Good small pump that feels solid
The metal construction seems solid. Did not work with my cordless Ryobi drill but worked well with an an old Black and Decker corded drill.

Been meaning to buy a drill pump for some time as I have several Wolfcraft tools I love the quality I bought the pump based on the above it seems well built & solid though time will tell I guess.

It will just do 2.0 bar when brand new. - but not when slightly worn. It wears out fast.
I've been using this pump for 4 years to service a solar thermal hot water system once a year. Other reviewers (check the 1-star reviews pages 2 and 3) have used it for this same, but with less success. My experience has been generally better. I can't comment on the observations (by Others in the 1-star), that the pump contaminates the fluids. This does seem likely since it relies on the internal rubber flaps rubbing inside the housing. I propose that solar glycol-type fluid is intrinsically lubricating which maybe helped. So I managed to get good enough performance for about four uses over four years. The pump when new would provide very nearly 2.0 bar into the system. That was running on a powerful 800W drill. By use # 3 (probably after half an hour running total), it was providing 1.8 bar. By year 5, (perhaps 1 hour running total), the pump seems to have failed, and won’t circulate much liquid at all or provide any pressure. (– bear in mind that the internals have been thoroughly pickled by now for years in the solar fluid). As a result I do suspect that the inner rubbery bits have chucked their content into my pipework, but that’s hard to say because five years in the solar fluid is black and stinky and foul and needs a flush and refresh anyway. The pump will do a “negative lift”, in my case only about 20cm and I start it very gently and ensure it’s got some fluid inside from the get-go. The design looks like one reversal could instantly knacker it, and perhaps this explains some of the “useless” reviews? Make sure the drill goes the right way (forwards /clockwise) before starting out. Sadly, there seems to be little available other than this pump which is likely to do a better job for a DIY-er servicing solar thermal on a budget. I have tried lesser drill pumps in the past and they wouldn’t provide adequate pressure even from new. I might have to buy another of these, and be ready for its inevitable failure after a few uses.

Worth the extra
I've had several of the cheaper versions over the years, going back to the late 1990's with a black and decker one. Must have been one of the earliest versions. Anyways I've used wolfcraft clamps for ages, the same ones 😉 so I kinda knew that this pump would be a good deal better than the plastic ones I've had in the past. Used it today to pump out the big plastic storage boxes I use as dunk tanks / watering for the plug trays in the poly tunnels (Eucalyptus Trees) and it was excellent. You can feel it is smoother than the cheapos. It does state on the body, use for a max of 40 seconds. It does get hot, so I would definitely stick to that and I did. I was using a Dewalt brushless combi drill, and I put it on the slow speed. Even though it sucked the 40 litres out easily, 4 boxes, so around 160 litres in total. Effortless and quick, happy 😀

Not good
Started leaking after the 6-7th use

effective at draining water at a good rate
It's been very effective at draining water, pumping at a good rate with a big enough electric drill. I spray some light oil into it after each use. I connect mine to my hose-reel. I also have the smaller plastic version of the pump but find that slightly more awkward to prime.

Fonctionne très bien contrairement aux versions plastiques trouvées dans les magasins de bricolage (même de la marque).

Solid and does the job.

This is a great little pump. I have pumped hundreds of gallons so far with it. I have even unintentionally abused it by running it dry for about 2 minutes. Running it dry for more than 40 seconds is definitely something you do not want to do. The pump is still going strong even in spite of the unintentional abuse.
