Great tarot deck. Love the cards in this deck

Really great deck, the first instance you look at them it is very overwhelming at just how much information there is on every card, so many symbols and shapes to wrap your head around. Also it is important to mention that this deck is a "pip" deck, meaning if you don't have a basic grasp of the meanings of the minor arcana it's a lot harder to intuitively figure it out compared to the rider waite deck that convey very colourful and clearly interpritable scenes, this is the kind of deck that I feel you may have to study, so if you are not up to the challenge and are just beginning with tarot I feel as though this may not be the right deck for you, but if you're up for the challenge it is a very dense deck and opens your mind to lots of different intuitive gateways you may not catch with other decks. It is also quite a scary deck so I would warn any guys who are gonna buy this to do readings with people you may want to forewarn people as it is definitely the type of deck that would have to be specified before a reading begins.

Absolutely beautiful deck. Good quality paper stock, thick enough but not too heavy not glossy. The symbolism is truly beautiful and each card is full of meanings that takes a while to grasp as much as possible. Major arcana containing alchemic and kabbalistic references, plus tonnes of minor fine details that you can keep watching them with a magnifying glass and go WOW!. As far the minor arcana, the court cards are really great and the pip cards are too, this deck is in my opinion a sort of hybrid: in many sense similar to a Marseille deck but also has references to the RWS, Thoth tarot and Golden Dawn style. Personally I love this deck but it can take a while to understand due to the fact that is black and white. Very good deck. 5 stars indeed

This is a Golden Dawn tarot, or rather “Stella Matutina” – a true Golden Dawn tarot, which is authentic in its depiction of the trumps, is yet to be published. The artwork is black & white line drawings. Given that the Golden Dawn was renowned for its sophisticated use of shades and hues, this might at first appear ironic, although I wonder if the whole point is that it is meant to be like the BOTA deck – to colour-in as one learns the King-, Queen-, Prince- and Princess- scales? Nevertheless, I would say that the Hermetic Tarot is the favourite GD deck which I have in my possession – ranking ahead of the Robert Wang version. What I found helpful was that Godfrey Dowson included not only the proper titles of the cards from “Book T,” which aids enormously in card memorisation, but also the full astrological and elemental symbolism, as well as divine and angelic names where appropriate. Clearly a deck for use not just in divination, but in GD style magical-theurgical operations as well.

Absolutely stunning and, ethereal deck; these exceeded my expectations. I used these earlier today and, gave a very accurate reading for someone who is special to me. Beautiful art featuring dual layered meanings by the highly knowledgeable Godfrey Dowson. Instant connection- I adore these. Although the seller despription stated '...barely used, slight scuffing..." these actually reached me in pristine condition; new & sealed. Quick delivery time also- these arrived sooner than anticipated.

Beautiful deck, different from others I've used. Im used to classic Rider Waite decks and this is similiar but not the same. Not had a chance to delve deep into the deck yet, nor have I done any readings with it, yet. But at first glance, its really details and beautiful to look at.

Great tarot deck with decent usable cards. Clear symbolism and LWB outlining alchemical, astrological and kabbalistic aspects of the cards and their correspondences. Fits very well with Crowley/Harris Thoth; and Loeb's Rota Mundi. Sure I'd like them to be in colour; but then I would find something unsettling and unsatisfying about any scheme used as on that score it is hard to better the Thoth or the Radiant Spirit or New Vision reworkings of the RWS. regardless of my dissembling and grumblings; if you have the bug or are considering another deck to further your studies / play / praxis then why read any further, just order the deck; youll be pleasantly surprised by the approach the creators have taken to the synthesis and presentation of information symbols and themes. Five stars.

He de reconocer que en un principio no me fijé en este mazo por ser en blanco en negro, pero una vez miré las ilustraciones en detalle no lo dudé: hay que tenerlo ya seas un coleccionista o un aficionado al tarot. Es una baraja que, si aún no es considerada un clásico, pronto lo será. Y más vale conseguirla ahora que han sacado una edición nueva que luego puede acabar descatalogada. Las ilustraciones son súper potentes (pese a ser en blanco y negro) y estar cargadas de simbología. Si ya eras aficionado al tarot de Toth de Aleister Crowley, con esta baraja te encontrarás también muy satisfecho. Se podría que decir que es una versión más sobria de este sistema (tienen mucho en común, sobre todo en lo referente a los símbolos, si bien son más claros en el tarot Hermético). Lejos de dificultar la lectura, por lo menos en mi caso, todos estos símbolos mejoran la fluidez de las ideas y sentimientos en los que se basa la interpretación y te dirigen hacia una lectura mucho más profunda y más amplia que con una baraja demasiado sencilla. Con este mazo se disfruta echando las cartas.

It's absolutely gorgeous and powerful. This deck is PACKED with symbolism, detail, history, and personality. It called to me immediately, as I've been studying Hermeticism, magic, Golden Dawn, and the Tree of Life. I've read before that this isn't a beginner's deck, but I 100% disagree. This is my first deck and I couldn't be happier. This IS a serious deck, and in my opinion, not meant for intuitive just-tell-me-something-nice readings. Which I appreciate. The cards are deliberate, and meant to convey specific meanings. As a beginner, I find all the detailed symbolism perfect for learning, perfect for getting in tune with the cards, and perfect for being able to interpret them. You can pick a card and research/analyze all the correspondences, angel names, symbols etc for a good view of what the card means and is telling you. I love this deck; the quality is nice, the artwork is amazing, the depth of the cards is second to none, and the price can't be beat. Cheers!
