I first saw this film when I was about 8 or 9 years old and loved it, and Hayley Mills, from the word go. I think her acting is superb, although her American accent is a still strange sometimes, but nevertheless, she brings such magic to the role. Some have criticised the choice of actor for various other parts but I found no problem with any of them. It is both a sad and happy story but ultimately uplifting, even at the end. I can watch this film so often and never get bored with it. I would recommend it to anyone who still has some child left in them, regardless of their age, and someone who loves a happy and sunny outlook on life, even when the water's rising and we have months left until the sun begins to shine again.

This film will certainly not appeal to everyone,but offers a slice of uncynical,warm and cosy emotions. Pollyanna (Hayley Mills) moves into the home of her rich but distant and unloving aunt (Jane Wyman),and slowly Pollyanna's cheerful and positive attitude to life starts to rub off on her aunt,and on the whole town. Agnes Moorehead puts in a memorable performance as a bitter old woman who feels she has nothing left to live for. Watch how Pollyanna works her magic here! A delightful film which might just be enjoyed by the whole family. If you let Pollyanna into your heart.

Watched this with my two daughters in the 1980s. Just loved Pollyanna's "glad game" teaching that in every situation there is always something to be glad about. It started when she was hoping for a doll for Christmas but instead received a parcel containing a pair of crutches! Her Father said they should think of something to be glad about. They realised they could be glad that she didn't need the crutches! This approach to disappointments has kept me and my daughters going through life's hard times. Highly recommended.

This was a favourite film in the 60's so bought for my grand daughter who loved it. Very funny and original with Haley Mills

I was not able to see this movie as it came in with a "Region Error". Since I will have to pay to ship it back I will be eating this one. Not satisfied with Movie Mars and will not purchase with them again.

Un film délicieux, attendrissant et saisissant de par sa leçon de vie. Ce film fait écho au "petit lord"; une jeune enfant amène les adultes à changer leur vie et la vision qu'ils en ont. Un film qui ne cherche pas à être moraliste, une histoire qui va droit au coeur des petits et des grands. Ce film est, depuis que je suis toute petite, le MEILLEUR qui soit, le plus complet, le plus beau, tout simplement. Ce film nous révèle, sans nul doute, il apporte bonheur et tendresse à chacun. Hayley Mills est absolument divine dans le rôle principal, elle est fraîche, pimpante, rayonnante. Un film heureux, loin du côté très sombre du "petit lord" ou de "la petite princesse" qui peuvent choquer de jeunes enfants de par leur cruauté. Celui-ci a bien sûr sa part d'ombre mais le jeu plein de spontanéité et de fantaisie de Pollyanna le rend doux. La fin est un feu d'artifice d'émotions fortes. J'ai 30 ans, je l'ai peut-être vu 100 fois depuis mon enfance et je peux vous dire qu'à chaque fois, je suis en larmes (de joie, d'immense joie) lorsque défile le générique de fin :) Un film généreux, heureux et plein d'espoir. Et comme dirait la mère du "petit lord": "chacun doit contribuer, à sa manière, à changer le monde". Pollyanna est le film le plus merveilleux d'une petite fille qui a changé le monde.

Perfecta edición inglesa con castellano de esta maravillosa película; ha sido el único modo de conseguirla. No entiendo qué pasa últimamente con la carencia de ediciones españolas que no sean 4k.
