The Perfect Sieve
Saves so much space and along with the optional extra pack of 4 inserts, I now have the ability to grade my mixes from 2mm (perfect for seed mixes) all the way up to 12mm (removing stones etc from garden soil). Not the cheapest but when you consider that you now have 4 (8 with the expansion) sieves, I just wish I had found this sooner.3 Jan 20 - two seasons on, still the best hand seive I have ever had. Not sure how you get the meshes to fall out in use as the retaining bars underneath prevent this from happening? If the meshes were any more snug you would have to hammer them in and likely never get them out again, as it is you have to 'lever' them in one side at a time, then to get them out again, you have to reverse the process. Even better value now the price has come down slightly, but I doubt I'll ever have to buy another one as this seems almost indestructible, being made from stainless steel.

Almost perfect...
Good quality, if only it would be bit higher it be 5 stars. It's only 5cm (2 inches) deep.

Great value for money
Very good value for money and sturdy design. It could be bigger but you would get tired very quickly so I have found the size to be ideal for the work I had to do.I liked the various mesh sizes which allowed me to optimise my sieving without wasting too much time with a mesh that is smaller than necessary.

Meshes don't sit correctly within the frame
Considering the price, am not too impressed. I already have a similar sieve, with 3 meshes, that cost less than £20 and overall, that one fits together better than this. While it's great this has a range of mesh sizes (bought the extension package, too), and if the meshes are stainless steel, too, and not just the frame, this is better than the cheaper ones. But I am not happy with the way the meshes sit inside the frame. While they sit a bit tighter than with my cheaper sieve, so are less likely to fall out, some do still fall out quite easily, contrary to what the seller assured another customer. Some sit more tightly than others - you're supposed to be able to sort of clip them into place, but some don't seem to go in properly. Also, the inside part of the frame is not shaped correctly, so there's a gap, ranging from about 1 - 3 mm some of the way around the edge of the mesh. This means bits keep getting trapped between the mesh screen and the frame. This is not the case with my cheaper sieve. So for the mesh sizes I had already, I prefer to use my old sieve. For the price, I had expected better quality.. If you're just using this occasionally to sift gravel from soil, it might not matter so much (but then you could just as well buy a cheaper model). For sifting regular, larger quantities of bonsai soil, the failing is more noticeable. Maybe mine is a dud, as in the pictures shown, I can't see the gap there is with mine. I contacted Amazon, who were very good, and offered a refund, although it'd been more than 30 days. I ordered another, hoping it would be finished better. Instead, it was worse: the gap is even larger in places.. It's a shame, as otherwise, it's well made and this is the only one I could find that offers so many different mesh sizes. I will keep it, as I need the different mesh sizes, but for an eye-watering £52 (has gone down since), I expected it to be better than cheaper models, not worse.

Very happy with it so far
Does what it says on the tin - we use for sieving gravel and it works very well - you do need to remember it is domestic, and not a heavy duty commercial product, so dont go dumping 5 kg of wet soil and expect it to survive - its only pressed steel. Very happy with it so far!

Great garden sieves
These are versatile and durable. We have been using ours to wash gravel and they have held up well. Range of mesh grades allow for different uses with soils and gravel.

It did the trick
Good pieces of kit, however it was smaller than I expected! But did the job!
