Sharp point
Not just a pencil sharpener, this does not break the lead and gives a sharp point.

doesn't sharpen
As an ex teacher I've bumped into a lot of pencil sharpeners and this is definitely one of the worse ever. Maybe I've hit on a dodgy one, but this thing tears a few shards off and that's it. Try pressing or pushing and it just tears of bits in one place. I've given up on it. My pencils deserve better.

Well made and works well
Great item that is well made. Saves a lot of time as I have to sharpen many pencils working in a school. Pencils are very sharp and item is easy to use. Comes with a fastener to be tightened to a desk, but I have never used so can't comment. Easy to empty with a pull out compartment.

Broke quickly with light use *revised review *
**revised**[Unfortunately it stopped working after a few short weeks with light use only..Disappointed] that was my first review, however before I threw it away, I took the thing apart by unscrewing the large ridged nut that’s at the base of the winder…it unplugs this brings the sharpening part out, (be careful it’s sharp) I could see right at the end where the pencil goes in that a pencil lead was lodged in there! I got a darning needle and cleared the lead and once put back together it worked fine. However it is a lightweight model and next time I need to buy one I’ll look for a more sturdy one.
