Adventurous and engrossing
First listen to this album leaves you unsure. For certain, the slick production and sheer energy of 'Meteora' is not immediately apparent. However, they have been adventurous and built songs, experimenting with sound, around their lyrics. Herein lies the real strength of the album: the lyrics are burgeoning on genius. The increasing political stab at Bush and his administration, which can be read on a more personal level every step on the way, is very direct yet all so subtle. His disdain is clear, but so is his understanding of the man, so much so that you almost 'pity the fool'! This is no mean task! Musically the music engraces itself more and more with each listen, the experiments don't always work brilliantly('Given Up';'Leave out the rest'), but others certrainly do('Shadow of the day'; 'Hands held high'; 'The little things you give away'). And do we really want another album of the same old formula? Overall an admirable and engrosing effort!

Linkin park cd
Fantastic album this is my first album of linkin park just started listening to them because of my son. Wow what a fantastic band wow what a voice chester has! Rip chester your a legend.

An interesting change!
When i first heard this album a was slightly disapointed. It wasn't the usual style we were all used to from LP. But after sitting and really listening to it, i started to enjoy it more and more. This is a great album with a lot of meaning and musicly well put together. Chester shows some amazing vocals and variation from one song to the next and Mike also puts on a wonderful performance. The whole album works so well with some catchy rap songs (Bleed it Out), heavier songs (Given Up) and some beautiful slower peices (The little things...', Leave out all the Rest). I think this album should be judged for what it is and not in comparison to their earlier work. Though a great fan of their old stuff (and to be honest, i probably prefer it), this album is definately not a bad change.

Absolutely brilliant
As a fan of LP from the beginning I was happy to receive this and have played it in my car for a few weeks now and LOVE IT. I would say to all LP fans who haven't bought it I would urge you to get it because you will not be disappointed. Chester's vocal comes through brilliant on each and every track and the more you listen the more you hear. I had seen bad reviews and to be honest I knew some of the people were putting it up against previous material which you can but you have to take each album as intended, a stand alone body of work. If you loved Hybrid you'll definitely love this. My favourite track has to be Leave Out All The Rest especially after hearing it live. I was blown away.
