Outstanding Studio Microphone for a Great Price
The Marantz Professional MPM-1000 is a fantastic condenser microphone that punches well above its price range. As someone who records podcasts and voiceovers regularly, this microphone has significantly elevated the quality of my recordings. The audio clarity is exceptional, capturing a warm and natural sound that rivals more expensive microphones. It's particularly impressive for vocals but also performs well for instruments if you’re into music recording. The cardioid polar pattern minimizes background noise effectively, which is a huge plus if you’re in a less-than-perfect recording environment. The package includes everything you need to get started: a sturdy desktop stand, an XLR cable, and a shock mount, all of which feel solid and durable. It’s plug-and-play with any audio interface, making it beginner-friendly but professional enough for more advanced users. Whether you're a podcaster, musician, or content creator, the MPM-1000 is an affordable yet professional-grade solution that delivers excellent sound quality. Highly recommended!

Top mic Cheap price
Bought this microphone for my home PC setup. This is the perfect budget XLR microphone. If you don't have the money to pay out for a high end USB microphone such as the AT20-20, This will suffice you just fine. The sound quality is outstanding and I was shocked at the quality of the driver it has and the sound output. I personally use this for chatting to friends on Discord when playing games and also streaming and recording voice overs and for the price it is tough contender. The shockmount that is indcluded fits snugly around the body of the micropohne and hasn't left on dents or scuffs on it either. Definetly does it's job as i have knoced my mic several times when talking with friends and during recordings and havn't noticed any noise spikes at all. The included tripod though it is a nice touch, I would recommend getting a boom arm if your planning on leaving it with your setup, as it doesn't seem to support the weight of the mic very well in my experience, and £10 for a cheap mic arm in my opinion is worth it. The XLR cable that is included also work perfectly fine and the length is long enought to route and tuck away neatly whilst still having some slack cable for manouvreabilty. It is worth noting that it does require a audio interface as the mic is XLR it cannot be plugged driectly in to the PC. The audio interface I use is the Behringer U-Phoria UM2 edition. Which works perfectly and provides the 48v PHANTOM POWER it NEEDS. There are better sound interfaces out there, however assuming your purchasing this mic you’re on a budget and that is a good interface for the money.

Excellent high-quality USB mic at a reasonable price
Was the first mic I bought when I started casting, and despite buying a bunch of XLR mics and mixers, I keep returning to it because of the crispness of the sound, and - depending on where it's situated - the lack of noise. Whilst it's frustrating not to have the same mixing options for USB mics as XLR's without insane money on a USB mic mixer, it's a powerful mic with excellent pickup (I have a nursery behind my house and when the kids are out, the people I'm talking to think I have a kids party in my back garden). The USB cable is long and flexible (it's the same as a printer USB cable) which is of massive benefit as one of the few issues is if space is limited, the microphone can pick up residual buzz from proximity to a PC itself, so try to keep it away from that as best you can. I don't recommend any desk stand being a foot stand, they are prone to toppling because, unlike XLR's, it's a heavy bit of kit, so you'll spend some time working on the positioning. It may be worth investing in a desk stand with a ring base. or a floor or g-clamp stand. None of this is a criticism of the mic itself which is excellent value for money and a great quality mic for new casters/streamers.

Reasonably priced condenser microphone.
This is a great microphone for the price. Good quality. Output slightly on the lower side but that could be due to desk. Stand a little on the flimsy side but for the price aint too bad. Don't forget your desk needs phantom power, it's a condenser after all.

Exceptional quality for the price
Fantastic all-metal construction, sound quality is excellent at this pricepoint. Included cable oddly uses plastic buttons on metal connectors, but this is the only downside and it's a tiny one. Included baffle is a decent quality foam. Really great value for a high-quality product.

Good all round mic...
Great desk mic for streaming, broadcast, zooms etc. I had an equivalent Neewer mic which is terrible by comparison. Just bear in mind it requires a 48v power supply via an xlr cable. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I believe there is a USB version available. Marantz used to make respected stereo gear back in the day.

This does NOT come with a desk stand - Even though the pictures show one
OK, for a microphone, you really cannot fault it. Sounds fantastic (my main use is for video calls and corporate meetings via WebEx and Teams etc) and I always get compliments on how good my audio is. I purchased this exactly for that reason as the Logitech camera microphones just do not give the quality I need. Comes in a sturdy plastic box with quite a substantial USB cable (great quality) and mounting cage (also great quality). This is a solid piece of kit, feels very high quality (which it is), but wait! Why does my picture show the mic lying on my desk flat? This is surely going to affect the quality of the audio right? RIGHT!! It is lying down because IT DOES NOT COME WITH ANY KIND OF STAND!! PARTICULALRY THE KIND OF STAND THAT IS CLEARLY SHOWN IN THE PICTURES! This mic is no use unless you already have some way of mounting it on your desk. For that very last reason, I knocked two stars off this. For what I would consider a premium product, I have had to spend an additional £15 on a desktop tripod where the advert leads you to believe it comes with one. I would have returned it to Amazon on principle, but I need the mic now and will have to swallow the cost of the stand. Shame they had to let the product down by missing out a key component!
