Excellent on its own, magical with the Godox X1 trigger
It's early days with this flash and initial impressions are extremely good. This isn't intended to be a techy review, I want to describe the user experience. I bought a pair of them together with a Godox X1C trigger. My camera is a Canon 5D3. The combination of camera, trigger, and flashes works great and allows me to control everything remotely (bar zoom) from the trigger in a simple and easy to use package. No more diving into the camera's flash menus are necessary - thank heavens. The TT600 impressed immediately on unboxing. It's heavy and much better built than I was expecting. Were this a flash pulled from a Canon box at four times the price then I would have no major complaint. Build quality is roughly on par with my Canon 430exii but the Godox has buttons with a far more tactile feel. The integral bounce card is the only cheap feeling component. I was pleased the menu system is as simple and straight forward as a manual flash ought be. Only one or two features had me stumped but a quick look in the instructions solved that. I had learned and memorised everything that needed to known within 15 mins of tinkering and 5 mins of reading. A Sekonic light meter confirmed that flash output was consistent across repeat firings, and both of the units I bought measured identically in output levels. The magic I was hoping for clicked into place after pairing the two flashes to the Godox X1C trigger. Sat in the hot shoe of the camera, it gives wireless control of my pair of TT600 flashes via a simple LCD interface. Individual flash levels can be controlled in 1/3rd stop increments from 1/128 to full power. The LCD can display three groups at a time with scrolling required to see all five available groups. The trigger allows you to control channel settings, group settings, and switch each or all groups between manual and TTL operation (if you have separate TTL flashes connected). The only omission is the ability to change zoom settings remotely. I was especially impressed that the trigger and flashes automatically drop into, and out of, HSS mode according to the shutter speed selected on the camera. I watched the HSS icons coming on and going off automatically with perfect timing as I rotated the camera's shutter dial back and forth like a child at play. I really can't stress enough how well the whole system works. I spent most of the night experimenting with the two flashes and the camera - shooting this and that - controlling everything with ease from the trigger. I had very high hopes for the convenience of this system when ordering given that the flashes have built-in radio receivers; and the transmitter controls nearly all aspects of the flashes; it's less to carry around and setup. I wanted something that would just work and not get in the way. Right now I'm overjoyed because it's doing all I hoped for. Let's talk about price - for the sum asked it is a giveaway. My only moan is that the flashes insist on continually winking their very bright red lights at me whenever they are in radio slave mode. Maybe there's a way to stop that but I haven't found it yet. If not then some black tape is going over the offending areas. Anyhoot, for my applications, this attains the nirvana of affordable, manual speedlite systems that I've been long, long searching for.

Brilliant, worth the cheap price .
Money well spent. More enough power as a strobe feeding into 105cm shoot through and 105d white reflector brolly, both Godox .

Great manual flash
Use this with my 6D and got some great results at an indoor event. I used a flash bender to diffuse the light and the whole thing was fab for the money. Very pleased with my purchase.

Certainly good enough for professional use
I've two of these now. I purchased this flash to unify my previously eclectic bunch of flashes and to replace the YN-560's which I found to be unreliable so I couldn't trust them for important events. Build quality they are identical to the Godox TT685's. Certainly good enough for professional use. Both my flashes locked into the camera hotshoe with no problems unlike the earlier TT685's and the X1N-T I purchased. The LCD and button layout is slightly different but easy enough to understand. The main thing to realise is that this flash is manual power only. There is no TTL. So if you are looking for a flash for your camera's hotshoe then you'd be better off looking for a TTL flash like the TT685 or V860ii. But if you want a simple, cost effective no nonsense speedlight for off camera flash use then the Godox is a very compelling option. Especially if you've got other Godox gear.

Cool flash. Used it on camera and off camera ...
Godox TT600. Cool flash. Used it on camera and off camera with my Xpro2. Manual controls only, but works well. Bit large on Fuji bodies - I usually use a smaller Nissin flash, but wanted a backup / something for off cam. Will be handy for using any flash modifiers as the smaller flashes are a bit, well, small. Fair bit of power to it - perfect for OCF with the Godox XT16 trigger. With the built in wireless, it connects and works no problem. Only used it a handful of times so far, will update the review if necessary.

Very good value for money
A no nonsense strobe ideal for off camera work. Wireless control works well (with an XT32 in my case - but you can use this as a master to control other devices if you don't have a dedicated trigger) Controls on the back are very easy to use and a reasonable size. Slight niggle is that when it's in slave mode the red AF assist light flashes and there's no way to turn it off. But that behaviour is not unique to Godox and a bit of gaffer tape cures the problem if it annoys you.

Great value, good product.
I purchased one of these last year to compliment my Godox AD600, I'm now starting to get more creative with flash so I ended up getting another TT600 as the other one has been fine. Build quality is great considering the price. It works as it should with the Godox triggering system & being a manual only flash is not a problem with how I work. I'm a Godox convert!
