There are no digestive enzymes in this. I use Now super Enzymes alongside ox bile. Can’t answer the 2nd part of your question, except to say they work well for me since having my gallbladder removed.

Dear Dorsey, GALLMET is a bile acid supplement if for any reason there is not enough bile acid to break down the fat in the food, for example: the liver does not produce enough bile, does not bile from the liver, does not bile from the gallbladder necessity for bile supplementation in main meals. Questran is primarily cholesterol lowering, but GALLMET is also good for lowering cholesterol. So the spectrum of action of GALLMET and QUESTRA is different, though there is some overlap.
