Excellent for CCTV cameras etc...
I bought the TP-Link PoE injector because my WiFi access point was tired of begging for power like a phone with 1% battery. This little box is like the fairy godmother of networking—one zap, and suddenly my devices are both powered and connected, no magic wand required! Setup was so easy, I spent more time untangling my cables than actually installing it. Now my home office looks like a high-tech lair, and my access point is living its best, fully powered life. If you want to give your gadgets a jolt of energy and feel like a networking wizard, this PoE injector is the way to go. Warning: may cause sudden urges to upgrade the rest of your network just for fun!

Easy, cheap and reliable.
I've used these in various places with no issues at all. They have powered unifi APs, meraki APs, point to point link stations, cameras etc and never missed a beat. Even in some harsh conditions kept in IP rated boxes in the middle of nowhere during cold winters and hot summers. For the price of them they just work and are cheaper than the genuine ones if you're buying in bulk.

Great little device
Using this in my church network to power a Draytek Vigor 130 modem from a Ubiquiti POE switch some distance away, so that its power is also covered by the main rack's APC UPS. The device is tiny, lightweight and works perfectly: set the switch to 12V (or whatever you need), plug in the Ethernet and power plugs, and you're away. Dropped one star on the rating for a couple of minor points: 1. No easy mounting point. It's very light and can just hang on the cables, but some keyhole slots would help for a neat installation on the wall. 2. Supplied DC power cable is short with 2.1mm plugs on both ends. This will fit many devices, but for my modem I needed to cut off one of these plugs and solder on a 2.5mm plug instead. Would have been nice to include a multi-adapter like many mains DC power supplies ("wall warts") include.

Turn an IP Camera into a POE IP Camera
I find these really useful when cabling cameras that do not have native POE support. I have used them for TP-Link C310, C320 and a FoxCam camera and they work really well. Recommend a POE+ Switch to inject the power, the TP-Link TL-SG1005P 5-port one is ideal. Run your CAT6 cable and then use one of these to split the power and network the other end. Please Note - Configure the Voltage on the POE Splitter for your camera before plugging in. You have the choice of 5v, 9v and 12v.

Nice Product - shame about the power supply.
I'm sure the device is fine - except it comes with a two pin round plug - not straight into UK Mains (3 pin) I'm sure I could have put in a "shaver" adaptor - but I was not to keen to have this sitting in a wiring cabinet somewhere out of site Amazon were very helpful about refunding immediately and said they would remove the listing until the found out if there was a problem. Not great if you just expect to plug in the device and "off we go" - if you dont have a shaver plug then its another cost and inconvenience... Hey ho
