Great when you only need small portion of rice. Very easy to clean and the pot is still non-stick too after daily use. When I bought it in Jan 2024, I didn’t expect it to last this long so very good value for money and proves its well made.

Very good, small size yet enough to make rice for 4 portions, I usually make for 2 portions with one cup of rice. Didn’t give it 5 stars because there is a design flaw that during cooking there was a little bit liquid spilled out from inner bowl to the outer case and trapped under the heating metal in the base. It was very difficult to clean, and dried bits will fall out when shaking the whole thing upside down. Overall it is still a good product, i have been using it for years and it works well.

This is a very simple on off switch and cooks the rice perfectly. excellent if there is only one or two of you and you want freshly cooked rice everyday and not make too much and then have to use the microwave for the next day as you have cooked too much. I think it is great.

Delighted with this little rice cooker. Just large enough for two servings, easy to use, quick and reliable. Recommend.

It's compact and fits easily onto a cupboard shelf when not in use. It's inexpensive. Calling it cheap would be a disservice, as it's well-made and aesthetically pleasing. It's also easy to clean. Ideally, set aside half an hour for perfect rice. I've tried whole jasmine, white basmati, brown basmati and fast cook. All came out perfect. Cooks 2 portions. That's all those boxes ticked, apart from the main one. Taste. As good as I've ever had and better than any I've cooked at home before (always been hit-and-miss and I never knew beforehand previously how it was going to turn out). This bijou rice cooker takes away the worry. Measure out your portion using the cup, rinse, add the water using the same cup and do other stuff. You turn it on and forget about it, knowing you'll come back to perfect rice. Consistently superb. Convenient too. This is the leading contender for my best buy this year. Did I mention how tasty the rice is? Yum yum.

So happy with this purchase. My sister had been telling me to get one for years. I'm so glad I finally did. The rice cooks to perfection. I have also tried other grains like buckwheat and that cooks well too. Be warned it is tiny and will make two or possibly three (very modest) portions. But on the plus side it takes up very little space. Easy to clean and store. A good buy.

I bought this to make quick lunch in the office. Out of the box, this mini rice cooker tends to produce rice that is grainy and a little over-firm, which I didn’t find especially enjoyable - unlike the Cuckoo modal at home. However, results improve markedly if you rinse the rice thoroughly, use slightly more water than usual, pre-soak it for 10–15 minutes in the measured cooking water, and allow a proper rest on Warm before fluffing — all of which seem necessary with such a small, fast-heating unit. With those tweaks it can make genuinely good rice. As a bonus - this isn't in the manual - it makes excellent poached eggs/oeufs au plat (with a little oil or butter) once you get the timing right.
